EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 Let us know what your favorite anime that you've seen is. For me, it's Tokyo Mew Mew and Eureka seveN.
Suzakudemon 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 I like alot of short Animes. Like Spiral, and Fruits basket was a good one.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 12, 2007 Case Closed is my favorite. But my runner up would be DNA2 and Great Teacher Onizuka.
Demondaze 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2007 X, Escaflowne, Saiyuki, Shuffle!, Ichigo 100%, and Azu Manga Daioh are all tops. Bleach, Samurai 7, Samurai Champloo, Outlaw Star, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are good too. But the best, the tour de force, the greatest anime of all time, is without contest Love Hina. And you will never change my mind.
EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 12, 2007 hehe, wow, demondaze, I like 1 of the eanimes you listed lol that's pretty sad...the anime you listed that I like is Bleach
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 12, 2007 Love Hina was good, until they left a major cliff hanger and ceased anime production. Kind of like what they did to Inuyasha. Ended it mid series, that's just dirty.
Demondaze 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 I like it. It implies that the world keeps turning, regardless of whether we're there to see it or not.
EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Yeah, but ending the series mid-series is something that really isn't cool...I mean, yeah, it shows the world goes on, even without us there to see it, but theirs won't, cause no anime of the series = no more world for that anime...so, in my case, I want the series to end, like Tokyo Mew Mew and Eureka seveN. Granted, Eureka seveN doesn't actually end, but it doesn't end with a "Oh, by the way, we're ending the series now, even though we are in the middle of the climax, and we don't care that the series won't go on anymore. We're just gonna go ahead and say 'good-bye' and end the series with a cliffhanger so big you'll never wanna see another anime by us."
Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 X, Escaflowne, Saiyuki, Shuffle!, Ichigo 100%, and Azu Manga Daioh are all tops. Bleach, Samurai 7, Samurai Champloo, Outlaw Star, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are good too. The ones bolded are favorites of mines as well. Italicized are not prefered. My favorite of all time has to be Trinity Blood and Ghost in the Shell. Conflicts between religion is still a new plot conflict concept. I like that, and may possibly be using it in my project, and Ghost in the Shell, man the plotline is awesome. So complex. Classics: Yu Yu Hakasho Rurouni Kenshin DBZ. Inyuasha. Samurai Jack Others as well, can't think of the names.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Thank you SCMike! That's exactly what they did on Inuyasha, and it's just because 1 staff member left. As for Love Hina, somehow they simple ran out of money. Although I doubt it because it has lots of fans who buy all of the box sets and stuff. Also, Samurai Jack isn't really an anime.. EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 hehe, yeah...I know 90% of anime out there don't TRULY end...at least, every anime I've seen has SOME sort of a cliffhanger...Tokyo Mew Mew they rush off to fight another alien, FMA they end it with Al going off to train with teacher, Eureka seveN they end with Renton's Grandpa taking care of Eureka's kids, and so forth...but I CANNOT stand some animes that end just to end...I mean...the hell? You leave it at a cliffhanger for no reason!
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Normally they continue the series in the manga.
EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 yeah...but I don't want to go out and pay $20 a book just to find out how the series ends...I'd rather they just showed it...
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Yeah. Jerks. It's probably just some marketing ploy, you know, to get more money.
EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 probably...makes sense to me...
Demondaze 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 What I hate is when there are about fifty manwha in a series, and they leave off translatng at ten. I can read some japanese, so if they were manga I could manage. But Korean? I don't even know anybody who knows Korean, and I know alot of people! Man, I loved Ragnarok, too. Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 If your question is at me; no. It's a Mech Anime, very character driven in my opinion.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 Ah, alrighty than. Nevermind.
EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 Yeah, Eureka seveN is very character driven...it's about a girl named Eureka who meets up with this guy named Renton Thurston. The two go through the series and end up falling in love, while Renton ends up getting trashed almost every episode by Holland, who enjoys kiicking Renton's butt because of reasons explained later in the series. The series takes place on a planet with "Trapar" which is light particles that can be ridden with boards. Problem is, something called the "Skurve Coral" (pronounced Scub) is causing all kinds of crap on the planet, and one man named Dewey tries to stop it, but to stop it, he wants to blow it up, which, in turn, will awaken the planet, and result in the total destruction of the planet. All of that, and in the process, Renton and Eureka are trying to stop Dewey, and they get into a bunch of messes and stuff...and I can't really explain too well without giving away the entire story...which is annoying, because 90% of the story itself is hidden until they reveal who Eureka TRULY is on Episode
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 Hm, I might just Youtube it, or find it at Oakwood Anime or a site like it.

Quicktrigger 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 My favorite anime would have to be Ikkitousen...>_> I read the manga, and I watched the anime...I'm not a fan of the OVA sequel... For those who never watched it, I don't want to go into too much detail...but it IS the definition of fanservice.
