I don't even know who started some of these: Peter,Joe,Johnson,Dick(Richard),Steve,Kevin,Willy,Trevor, Little Bill,Mara,Tony,McGee,Kyle,Smitty,Jane,Kitty,Sarah,Jenny,Heather,Mickey,and Bush. The most annoying one is Dick. I have no idea how the short version of Richard,came to mean Penis. In the old days,Dick could also refer to a Private Investigator or a Detective,but now people use the word Dick as meaning Penis or idiot or some other insult.
