Guest Lamineth Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Since there isnt a proper section for this, i will post this here and hope for feed back!!! Dear Felix, Will you please come home... We all miss you, Dad is having a hard time with out you here on the farm and mom has not stopped cleaning your room. They have never given up hope that you will come home to them. Brother is still mad at you, and he has been acting strange lately, but I know he still misses you. And I know that you don?t want to come home just yet, but I know that you will some day. Just do what you have to do and come home in a hurry! ~Love, Your sister... I can never get tired of reading that... She had so much to live for, so many things she could have done with her life. If only, if only they had made it out sooner. Maybe it could of been different, maybe I could still have my family. I knew he was still made at me for ?ruining his life?, but what could of made him kill his own family. I didn?t even know that he knew how to cast fire at his age of only 12, let alone cripled... I need a drink. Looking around, Felix saw that it had been too many years since he had traveled Nohmar freely, and much had changed. He had wasted precious time being forced to battle the Peahats, the "funny flying houses" as Lisa called them. Crimson eyes scanned the land. The black mask across his lower face, symbol of grief, hindered his breathing slightly. He shook his head hard, trying to concentrate. He did not have much time before the night creatures woke and walked abroad. The moon was high and illuminated the fugitive like a candle, and he was quickly tiring. Deep within him, a little voice was whispering. Just for a moment, Felix. Just slip off the horse and lie down a moment. It won't hurt anything. You won't be found. Quickly Felix bit hard on his lip, rising out of his stupor. He had almost given in. Ahead of him, the forest suddenly appeared shadowed in fog. Felix spurred Phantom forward. The black horse cantered across the narrow bridge into the deep forest. A night bird called somewhere; it's voice echoing in the stilled forest. Felix gave in. He slid off of the horse and pulled Phantom after him. Carefully laying on the ground, Phantom sat by his side and leaned back against a tree. Felix was exhasted... The last thing he thought was, ?You're out of shape, Felix?. On to chapter 1 which is unfinished. Felix opened his eyes and squinted at the blinding sunlight the was peering through a single break in the forest canopy; it was finally morning. It was just his luck that he had fallen asleep only an hour before waking. He was used to losing sleep due to dreams and other bothersome difficulties. Breakfast would shake him from the morning stupor that he so hated. He sat up and slowly walked out of the inner forest with Phantom hapily cantering behind him. As he reached the exit of the forest, he looked at what used to be his homeland of Nohmar. Darkness covered the land that was once, a teeming with life. Now Hate, Sorrow, Pain, Anixousness, Distrust and Distain filled the barren wastelands of Nohmar. The once beautiful mountains, filled with natural hot springs and covered with rich vegitation. Now, burnt and decayed. The sparkling Zarla river, running next to the Nohmar castle gardens. Dry and empty. The lush terrain, filled with merchants and farmers, now arid and deserted. The only sign of activity within a days worth of travel was in the castle which, strangely, was not fully consumed by the shroud of despair. Felix had scenced something was there, an inner light, pureity, innosence, hope.... Felix walked through the edge of the forest, leading up a small dirt path. The sky was dark and depressing, the sun shown dimmly onto the countryside, illuminating the tips of the mountains in a golden hue. The occasional death weed, nipping at his leather boots leaving small burn marks in the hand made metal covering. The walk was not that of a trek across a vast expansion, but a stroll through a feild. But there was something unusual, almost a draining sensation on Felix's soul it self. He was weakening, his muscles ached, his head throbed, he body was screaming out to the world in pain. But nothing came from his mouth to proclaim his agony, he had blacked out. ~Peace~
