Unka Josh 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 I would love to see an RPG maker with all of the features of both. And maybe some of the features that were in 2003 that they removed, too...
Cjboy 2 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 '03 had some good things. I think I'll edit the topic.

Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted August 4, 2009 Well I don't wanna see the next RM Maker based off just the two. However if they do end up making another RM Maker to satisfy the people that won't buy Action Game Maker, then they should put in all of the features from previous RPG Makers. Why drop some old features for new ones instead of just adding new ones?
Enigma 10 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 My Ideal RPG Maker would have All features from RPG 2003, XP,VX interchanging between conflicting features online connection? Creation Modes Easy Intermediate Advanced and you can switch b/w them for what ever Easy mapping with advanced database control on, which you can switch whenever yah want Inproved Map explorer, instead of the file tree system you could have a GUI where you could link maps together via teleport built in sprite/pixel editor ability to load and open swf files in game 1 click game installation custom icons, built in unlimted party members/levels built in varied MS and BS MORE RTP ReSOURCES for all different places and TIme Periods think thats about it oh yah and 3-d Support
Marked 197 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 Hmm I dont know about creation modes. No offense to anyone, but it is really simple to use the rpg makers. The advanced stuff may take a while to pick up, but im unsure how they would choose whats in the easy or hard modes. I suppose you'd hide the scripting. The point is, people should just be more patient and take the time to go through the features, it's really not that complicated. I don't know about fusing XP with VX. How about upgrade the graphics and chuck in some more layers?
vincestick 13 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 Yes, RPG Maker has been so far the easiest game-making software I've ever used. Scripting isn't so that once you get used to it, but then again I'm only adding on and editing other's scripts (credited) within my game, but whatever. And as for fusing? Well, the only thing I would like is for XP to have VX's framerate. I personally think that you can do a lot more with XP than VX, but that's just me. But then again, the only limit is your imagination.

YES YES YES I'm having some serious issues right now with only using three layers. I'm actually creating events just to plop on top of the third layer...
