suggest away :)

Actually, I was gonna say more battle systems to pick from, that are already installed :>

Hm, but I would sure appropriate (And I'm sure others would too) it if we had SephirothSpawn's materia script in it and maybe some better fog/whether options.

Oh, and something to allow the player to change the text box colors from within the game :)

I might have more later lol

Materia Script: thats incompatable with VXP, due to the fact that it uses ruby and not lua

and explain more on the fog/weather options

but the text box color changing isnt a bad idea :)

Oh, okay then.

By whether, I mean make is so we had better versions of fog, rain and whatever else the RPG XP/VX had. Like how we could set a level to it? Maybe it can go rain lighter or harder? Or include more whether options to pick from.

Like thunder and lighting sounds.

And maybe include some default fonts to pick from....?

I like the idea of changing colors in game, but that can be done via RGSS. I understand, totty, that this baby doesn't use RGSS. I'm just trying to get a spark going so you can think of a way to make this better than RMXP and RMVX.'

(RGSS2 can be used in RMXP just so ya'll know)

Minor planning update:

Sprites:

are 4 or 7 items long,

and you must specify how many images they are tall. This makes some added flexibility so that you can use many different poses than just walking and attacking.

The bare minimum is 7 tall (up, down, left, stand, battle stance, attack, and die) for player characters, for battle only (ememies) you need just 3 poses, (standing, attacking, and dying), for NPCs you just need 4 (up, down, left, and stand) and you can add more as you see fit =)

There is no site or forum sadly, I really dont think very many people would visit it until I actually make a version 1.0 stable and at least functionable, its only in planning and there is no real code for it yet, I am making the interface for it tho, and its taking forever. If you know how to work AgateLib, Visual Basic, can sprite/draw, work with Lua, ect you might be able to help me with it

Sounds good, and as long as you never technically say you have edited the original .exe files, nothing illegal will come of it :P. I can't wait to see the finished product.

@Marked: There is a new RPG Maker coming out, RPG Maker DS for the Nintendo DS (go figure XD).

its all from scratch, no RGSS2.dll, no RMXP.EXE/VX.EXE nothing comes from the files Enterbrain provided

Minute update, I am now no longer using the same interface Enterbrain is using (mainly because it does some SERIOUS damage to the loading time of the program)

I will be using a new style of database interface that DOESN'T take an age to load

Load? I've never had any problems with RMXP's loading times. Everything loads in an instant for me, and my computer isn't that great.

VXP cant handle the amount of items that are needed to appear on screen, so the client takes an age to compile and even longer to edit.
