Now, this is the first time I have ran a forum, so I will do my very best. If you have any comments or questions, please post. I would rather hear your opinions. EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 I dunno...I mean, he said he was homophobic, so he hates gay people...and said that now he didn't think he had any reason to be here...since I turned out to be gay in part...and he hates gay people, he can't be around me...with no reason to be around anymore, he resigned...unless he told you specifically something different...but I don't see why his last post would be "I have nothing left here, I'll come back if Blazinks comes back" if it didn't mean he hates me...and as I was his only reason for being around (he said so himself)... It really stands for feeling awkward around homosexual people and not being able to understand how two guys or two girls could love each other, despite society's predominantly Hetero-views. Besides, how could someone be homophobic about a person online? There is no physical contact or vision of the other person whatsoever. Its pretty impossible. If he spent the money on buying this Board, and he just suddenly doesn't care; is calls for suspicion. And why I find it dumb, is like Satiel said, you can't even see the person. If the person starts making sexual remarks towards you, you just tell them kindly, to stop. And if they don't this is classified as harassment, and then you can take whatever action you think is appropriate. Blocking the person, deleting the sexual remarks, etc. And from my point of view, I don't think SC Mike has made any sexual remarks or anything of the sorts towards Marked, so their was really no reason for him to leave. It has NOTHING to do with what was posted on the forum. As for giving me the board, I did NOT ask for it. And I also promised not to say why he gave it to me. I apologize for that to you all. In my opinion, a better administrator/keeper of a website should have a thick coating for emotional issues or he/she will collapse. Obviously, Marked didn't have a thick coating which caused him to leave. But lets see how our new administrator can help and produce this site! Congratulations Leon and have fun being in charge. I don't want to scare people off cause of all of this. Sometimes you must do what you think is right, regardless of what others think. And you must always act in the best interest of what you believe in. This is why I believe Marked resigned. Now, I will leave this open for the next 36 hours after this post. After that, I am going to close each one, but move them, rather than delete them. Let it stand as a testament that we should not judge each other, but rather respect them. And if you can't do that, do whatever you think is in your best interest. I am uncertain if Marked will read this, and if he does, if he will get upset. Personally, I see no reason to drag this out and discuss why he left. He left cause he felt it was in everyone's best interest. And SCMike, don't let it bother you. It was his problem that he had to deal with. A disease he wishes he could remove, but cannot. So don't let it upset you that much. I'm pretty sure he would rather we carried on, and do what we do best: Help each other and make games. I would rather see us do those as well. Now, for the next 36 hours, you are allowed to talk about this if you wish. After that, I request we leave it in the past, and such past should be left in the past. Leon 55 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I can understand where you are coming from with the 'lack of posts' when it comes to your projects that you post. I have gotten little response with mine as well. Only Marked has said anything about my demo, and nobody has said or, i don't even think downloaded my new script demo. It was something I was hoping to get alot of feed back from. Everyone I sent it to in IM got blown away. But, don't let that discourage you. if anything, just think 'ok, well... then let's do something to REALLY blow them away.' Trust me, you'll be suprised at what you will make, rather than what you have made. As for proof, take a look at my Skill Level system compared to my new script. I did it in 2 hours work...and I don't even know scripting...if I could do it in that, I bet some of those others could have done it in like...10 minutes TOP!
