Everyone knows the SAATBAM (SimpleAdvancedAlgorithmToBecomeAMermaid) which clearly states that you must match the gender you are according to the gender of mer you wish to be. After singing those songs, you spin around three times, jump in ice cold water and capture a fish with either your teeth or hands, and it has to be a big fish! Than, when all that is done, you must think mermaid (in your case, merman.) and call the dolphins to help you. If they hear you, you will transform into a merman in the next night, if they don't hear you and don't come, you've been turned into Amphipoda and will be eaten by men and other things.
