Marked 197 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 Hello all, I'm here to bother you with my troubles... It's not completely unknown that I've struggled with my education over the past few years. I've made several topics about leaving while I "attempt" to study and catch up on all the work I should have done earlier. My results for semester 1 are in. Unfortunately I cannot tell you what they are due the risk of one of family members accidentally viewing this topic, so far I've kept it hidden from them... Basically, I'm going to summer school, 100%. However I need to pass every single one of papers this semester AND summer school if I'm a chance for 2nd year. Today was the first day of semester 2. I have a lot of work to do, and im getting on top of really really quickly. My future hangs in the balance here... i simply cannot repeat 1st year, its not an option, i would rather drop out, and infact i will if i comes to that. Okay so I need some advice here. Is anyone else at college/university? I need to pass every single paper this semester, does anyone have any advice on how I can stay on top of things and get at least passing grades? I have decided that if I cannot keep on top of my studies, I will possibly leave RMXP Unlimited until the end of the year. I will pack up and leave... before my life does. But as it is, I'm unsure if I will ever find the time to finish the Script Submit Component for the website, or do any major updates. Perhaps I could promote a member to admin to take my place? I actually do move a huge amount of topics, prefix them etc. Help. :(
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 You could also ask a few classmates to help you out with your work. I know this is a pain to do but it works. IF you don't understand something or you want to learn something faster and better you can always have your teacher explain it to you fully after class or something. Im curious, What classes do you have?
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 I am not in college or anything but I can only imagine the workload and stuff. Like you said if you have to leave the site that's up to you though. Will hate to see you go but your education is an important thing. Just slow down and take your time to do it. Always remember to "Breathe".
solshadow 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 I agree with Wyzrd and polraudio. Im in my senior year of high school so i dunno if it'll help but cutting out a few less important items to focus on what is really important helped me pass all my AP classes last year. Just be sure to tell us if you decide to do that so we can give you a farewell and wish you luck. Also appointing a stand-in wouldnt be such as bad idea, although I honestly have no idea who it would be.

IF you don't understand something or you want to learn something faster and better you can always have your teacher explain it to you fully after class or something. Im curious, What classes do you have? Yeah, I can ask questions in our tutorials which are once a week. And I do have friends in most my classes. I'm doing a degree in law(thinking about changing to a double degree and include finance). So im doing an introductory full-year law course, macro economics, academic essay writing and psychology. I just got results from a law test from last semester. I got a C, which is obviously below the minimum grade average for the course. REALLY disappointed with that one... Tutorials start tomorrow, so I'll be sure to ask if I dont understand something. I am not in college or anything but I can only imagine the workload and stuff. Like you said if you have to leave the site that's up to you though. Will hate to see you go but your education is an important thing. Just slow down and take your time to do it. Always remember to "Breathe". Yep good advice. I've come up with new study techniques and revising etc. If I fail anything else, I have decided, I will leave the site. I wish I could judge the probability on that happening, I want to say it wont happen for sure because I'm going to try really hard this semester.. but we'll see. I'm the type of a person who aims for A, rather than just passing, so i guess im really lacking the fundamentals. I agree with Wyzrd and polraudio. I will most likely appoint an active staff member, probably one of the moderators.
Leon 55 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 All I can say is the same advice that has kept me going: Do what you gotta do. If you think the site is something you must leave for a while, do so. As for studying, try different methods of learning, to help ease the tentsion of the papers.
