HereYetGone 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2009 I'm sry but with how ppl have been 2 me l8ly I need a good discution How is it tht today nobody has a vocabulary it's all leet speak and curse words e.g. yo dawg that chick was tight! That fucking deuchbag was harshing me dude! what I would say is "wow that girl looks pritty cute" and "man that guy really needs to lay off" It's pathetic when the only verb you know is fucking and every other word in your sentences is a sware! sorry to rant but this is getting annoying say something worth saying or shut your mouth! and when it come to saying noob (I saw the topics and read a few posts) even if you think something is obvious 2 u doesn't mean that everyone knows how to do it, that's what I like about this forum I have never seen a topic here where someone asked for advise and didn't get it. In fact I saw someone who had a problem that seemed obveous 2 me so I answered it and I felt so good about it that I wonder why hardly anybody wants to actually help instead of calling everyone a noob it makes me angry! The most relevent response would be one of a helpful nature not one of discoureagement. Sorry for the rant I just wanted to blow off some steam and if someone else feels the same please reply
Marked 197 Report post Posted July 26, 2009 and when it come to saying noob (I saw the topics and read a few posts) even if you think something is obvious 2 u doesn't mean that everyone knows how to do it, that's what I like about this forum I have never seen a topic here where someone asked for advise and didn't get it. In fact I saw someone who had a problem that seemed obveous 2 me so I answered it and I felt so good about it that I wonder why hardly anybody wants to actually help instead of calling everyone a noob it makes me angry! That is sort of how this forum came about. Being a complete newbie to forums and RMXP, I did a few graphics request. The guy liked them so I decided to start my own forum. I may disagree about support topics always getting replied to. It's something that as an administrator it is a goal and a priority, but it doesn't always happen. And more disappointingly, the topic is so easy to solve. In some cases also, a member will make a topic and disappear whether it gets a response or not. From the start of your post I'm not sure whether you're talking about real life or on forums. In terms of forums, I dislike leet speak, in fact it's against the rules to use it here. Not entirely, but its stated here. I don't come across a lot of it here, or on the forums I visit(which are very few). But when I do I probably just skip past it.
Leon 55 Report post Posted July 26, 2009 You know, the vocabulary on uses doesn't necessarily reflect one's attitude, demeaner, and use of verbage. In fact, I swear like a sailor merely to get my point across as to how bogus something could be, or is in its current state. Not everyone is blessed with the gift of gab; nor do they have the gumption to increase their capacity for the spoken, or written, word. Simply put, complain to your heart's content, but you will always have the small-minded folks who cannot see past the common swear word. Just bear in mind that don't judge their vocabulary from a few simple sentences, for their vocabulary could far exceed your own. I am not ragging on your rant; in fact, I support you. I am just stating that sometimes, things aren't what they seem to be. other way to say what is written in the previous paragraph -explicit- Bitch all you want, but you can't shit on a man after a few short sentences; cuz the fucker could be smarter than you. :P

However, now that you mention it my vocab could use some improvement I'm not the most articulate person and I don't claim to be. Thanks for the comments and as for marked say that that is why I joined this forum it's so nice. Keep the comments comming I like having a serious convesation
j4kl1ng3r 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2009 Actually, there was a study done recently (I could look it up, but I'm lazy) that proved that the vocabulary used online hasn't been degrading overall vocabulary in teens, it has actually been improving. Basically, as long as you read and write, no matter what you read and write, it is beneficial to you. Also, sometimes I don't like cursing. But I, much like Leon, tend to curse alot. I write poetry and people complain that I curse to much, and they say it is like putting explosions in movies or something: some sort of cheap thrill. It's also been proved that curse words help relieve stress, though. But, again, I don't think anyone is going to disagree with you on the l33t speak stuff. Although I do enjoy using it in a sarcastic way. Also because I'm naturally good with language and pick up on stuff like that pretty easily.
