People Die In There Sleep

Recommended Posts

Here is my take on people dying in there sleep.

Note: Yes i know some people can die from hear attacks and stuff im mainly talking about unknown ways.

I think the real reason people die in there sleep is because the brain sends a shock and kills them.

Example:

Someone is sleeping and dreaming about a war and gets shot in the head or gets head cut off.

As you know some dreams feel so real you cannot tell the difference so, The brain thinks its real so you go into shock and you die cause you think its real.

Whats your take on this?

....Wow...really? I always used an in-dream death as an escape from a nightmare...(always usually wake up when I "die")

I think its like a 1% chance of it happening or depending on the situation and how real it feals in the dream but that brings me on another subject i will make later.

I had a dream where a giant fell on my leg. I awoke immediately and my leg started hurting. So I can buy the brain goes into shock thing.

I had a dream so real once, it felt like an out of body experince

I say that mainly because in my dream I was a totatly different person.

I was like some girl that tried to commit suicide by drowning herself

And I had never seen that person ever, I was actually scared I was going to drown, It was as if the I being this person couldn't get up and out of the water, and just lay there, when I woke up, I was out of breath.

2 or 3 years later, I saw on that show 1000 ways to die, some lady died similarly like that with botox. The only difference was that the girl was younger, blonde, and not poisoned.

It really freaked me out.

This is true. It has happened to me a couple of times as well, but before I would die, I would always wake up before anything else happened. Though yes I have felt a shock of pain like you said Polraudio. If you want to talk about weird dreams, I had a dream that became reality, twice. The dream was actually a prediction, and it was......... Well if anyone wants to know, I'll post it. But I believe some of you might have heard of it.

This dream happened to me twice in 3 weeks.

I went to some ruins on a class trip about some ancient cannabalistic monkeys. There were sealed chambers some archeologists were trying to get into and the monkeys burst out killing everyone. I was in the water area swimming when they rushed it. They jumped ontop of my head and literally ate through my body. I woke up when they reached my kidneys, and my right kidney started to spaz out when I woke up. (or felt like it was being squeezed).

I've had weirder dreams where my head was shot off by rockets, chainsaws, machine guns, sniper bullets and woken up with no ill effects, but that dream really affected me.

Hmm personally, this is not what I believe.

When the person sleeps, the soul leaves the body partially although not completely otherwise the person would die of course. The soul goes up somewhere with other people's souls. That is how we may see other people in our sleep. How people die in their sleep, is that the soul never comes back to the body. It leaves the body completely.

This is probably due to my religion, but it kinda makes sense.

I had a dream once where I could tell the future. I woke up and I really can tell the future...but it only works sometimes. And I don't control it. I just think of a specific show/commercial/movie/song and between 30 min-1 hour the show/movie blah blah is on. It creeps me out sometimes.

I've been shot twice in my dreams.

You don't die because of the "flight or fight" mechanism in your brain that, once you've experienced enough anxiety, will automatically wake you up. Animals do not have this as much, especially certain breeds of dogs (like terriers) who can actually suffer heart attacks in their dreams and die.
