Dream World

Recommended Posts

I have asked this question to many people i have helped get through dream problems.

Can you control your self in your dreams?

Most people say no.

The reason is cause they don't try hard enough or they think dreams are random.

---

I can control everything that happens in my dreams. I have a much control as i do sitting, walking, talking, touching, smelling, and hearing here in the real world. So you can say there's no difference for me. I know its just a dream but i make it as real as it gets but i still know while im there.

I belive the Dream World is a place to meet people for real(Or see the future).

I one had a dream where i met someone in walmart by the video game section, and guess what?

I went up to walmart the next day and seen that same person. Her name was Kiki. I might have crept her out when i asked her name, but it was the same. For some reason she didn't know who i was. maybe because she wasn't as free minded as i was and didn't remember me.

I do too!

I control everything, especially when its a nightmare!

My sisters and brothers think I'm lying, but I'm not. In each dream, somethings gonna kill my family and I always end up dying for em if I can't control em.

So, if I couldn't control my dream, I'm always the one killing myself for em, which I'd really do. Its weird, because people say if you die in your dreams you die in real lie O.o

I dont dream, and when I do it normally has to do with the future

I think this is due to the fact that I dream so much when I'm awake

The reason you don't die in real life is because you know its just a dream and there's a very small chance that you would.

So if you train your self into thinking its just a dream you will not have to worry about it unless you die of a heart attack.

Its very nice to control your dreams. You can live in another world and do whatever you want with no penalties and feel even better once you wake up.

I can. I could rewind time in my dreams and start a situation over. When that happens then I know I'm dreaming...then I go crazy. I won't go into details.

I love controlling my dreams; it gives me an adventure that could never happen in real life. Its better than my real life...

Thank god, I didn't wanna die in me sleep. Well, I fell like I have heart attacks all time O.o

I never had that bad of dream, well...unless I fail a family member and than they die. When that happens I start to panic and wake in a cold sweat and breathing like I hadn't for years >.<

I get really sick too....

I tend not to remember my dreams but when I do they all corralate to places. Only two places have been seen in my dreams and they are the apartment that I lived in until i was in 1st grade and of some unknown house.

With the apartment I always have a "falling" type dream where I'm falling down a dirt hill and wake up either after I die (from hitting either a tree or rock) or before.

The second, in the unknown house, is one dream that really scares me. At first its normal but then it turns gruesome. The last I remember is we (classmates) went there on a field trip and we all raced inside to pick out rooms like anyone would do. The house is 3 floors with the ground floor being on the 2nd floor. So everyone has their room picked out except me who just says screw it and opens a door nobody has opened before. Long story short, it turn into a horror film with a giant butch hacking up my classmates in sadistic ways and me trying to keep my friends alive. It might not sound scary but.....after I had one of those dreams me and my family woke up and discovered that the neighbor that lives behind us hung himself in a tree in his yard. I had to keep my brother from crying since death was fairly new to him.

I also had one dream recently that wasnt one of those 2. I was doing something (dont remember) and my friend Sarah was with me. My back was turned to her and I started singing my favorite song in my head

Youtube Video ->Original Video
and then she started to sing it but I still thought it was in my head. Then I turned around and saw her lips moving and got that it was her singing. I woke up and the song started to play from my speakers o.o

...That reminds me didn't I try to make a thread for this topic? lol

Anyways not really, I can't control my dreams usually...They're always random and stupid anyway, and when I do get in control of them (which is rare) I make an attempt to wake up...>_>

any one have a tip for having dreams in the first place

:o

Yes i do.

Before you go to bed. While your laying down getting ready to fall asleep. Think about things that has happened to you that day or what you wanted to happen. You can also think of a crush you have had all these years.

Don't stop thinking till your asleep. It might be hard to fall asleep for the first few times but once you get use to it you will be having dreams like crazy and sleeping so good.

I think the main reason for you not having dreams is because you don't think all that much. Try thinking lots during the day.

Have thoughts like "What if this happened?" then think of what it would be like if it did happen.

Try these and get back to me on it.

JOEY: i also want you to do the same thing and you might be able to control your dreams more.

Well dreams are a review of what happened in your day. So if you have a dream about anything, try to connected it with something that happened to you that day. The dream I had of me fighting a giant was because I fought a bully that day. :P I don't know what the scary dream was about.

...I don't think my dreams are reviews of what happened to me that day, if it is its very rare. The dreams I get are just random and stupid, like one I can remember being attacked by a toy truck...yes, A TOY TRUCK. >_>

I've also been attacked by huge turtles, a toad, alligators, a rabid squirrel, a hairbrush, spiders (the only thing that has a real reason to be in here), Hooch (one of my dogs, which makes no sense seeing how he's very friendly), and one of my little sisters...I think that's just some of them...yeah...lol.

Did you see a toy truck or think about a small toy truck? Maybe the truck is something relevant being symbolized as a truck. Much like a parable. Just last year, I had a dream. It was about a game called Second Sight. I couldn't find a key in the game so I went to sleep and in my dream, I was the guy and I found the key. When I woke up, I played the game and I found the key exactly where I dreamed it was.

Also I had a dream about RMVX and I messed up on something. I took a quick nap and I found a solution.

Generally, I can't control my dreams. I've had a couple where I've forced myself to dream about something specific, but that's the best I've done.

@Enigma:

Like polraudio said, try very, very hard to think of thinks before you go to sleep. Everyone dreams, its the fact that you finished the dream, therefor you can't remember it. Sometimes you can remember finished dreams, but most of the time you can't.

@Joey:

Random dreams, Joey, means that you have a lot on your mind (Stress, Joy, Happiness, Anger, Loneliness, Awkwardness, Shy, polite - many different feelings and worries, such as remembering if you turn the stove off.), so try to rest and relax if it really bothers you; try to listen to calm music and read a good book before bed, it can help. Also, try to stretch and do a little jog in the morning (not before you go to bed, it can cause problems.). If it still persists, try something that relaxes you.

@Nisage:

I learned how to control my dreams after the age of four, when I had the most scariest dream ever. It frightened me so badly, I was scared away from windows. But the dream came from a real life moment, the dream pushed it further. I still can't sleep near windows or stand in front of them at night >.<

Don't let the dreams win; think hard and fast and keep a steady ground, you'll be able to control them if you tell yourself its a dream and that its not real.
