I just wanted to post this to see how many people have found, ran into or have talked with internet jackasses.

I for one, have. His name is Drake ClawFang, and big old stinky jackass who went and (by what he says. He claims he's a Terra fan, but he went and tricked fellow Terra fans - jerk) went to IMDB and wrote down Megan Hollingshead as her voice acting.

 

He is a pathetic, lifeless, worthless jerk with the most stupid vocabulary ever known to man...wait, that belongs to Ryushikaze, another lowlife. But, Drake is second to him.

 

Anyway, Drake Clawfang says he did this to see how many and I quote "to see if anyone was lame and dumb enough to believe it."

I just don't get how much a loser he has to be to do that. He should be strung up and slapped by his mommy. I mean, seriously, what a JACKASS!

 

I'm gonna quote his whole thread and provide a link too, so others can see how wrong he is. The people there who say it was a great idea, are just as pathetic and lifeless as he is. What the hell is wrong with him? He doesn't have a life, I bet. Doing something like that was just wrong.

This is too funny a Dissidia story not to share, I have to tell you guys this.

 

On Wikipedia and the FF Wiki, I've been staunchly against speculating about VAs for a long time. But people kept providing the dumbest sites as sources, including IMDB. IMDB is user-submitted data, so to prove this meant it wasn't reliable, I updated the Dissidia page on IMDB to say that Megan Hollingshead was voicing Terra. I just pulled a random name out of my ass and added it to the site, to see if anyone was lame and dumb enough to believe it.

 

That was on the 14th of this month. It's been two weeks, and I haven't been disappointed - http://www.google.ca/search?q=Megan+...ient=firefox-a

 

And I promise you all that is my doing, because all the forum posts naming Hollingshead are *after* my update on the 14th. I'm really quite amazed I could initiate such a wide spread of false information with so little effort, there are people talking like they totally and completely believe it's Hollingshead, when in fact I highly doubt it is, and even if it is no one thought so until I pulled her name out of nowhere and said it was her.

 

So there's my story of how I punk'd like, half the Dissidia fandom. Yay me. I'm sitting here killing myself laughing, I really am. For like, two minutes to add Hollingshead to the site, I'm having a total blast watching these people who believe me. --

Well, The reason It doens't move me is exactly because of that. I understand that... But People die all the time, and I bet there are many people who are sad because of their parent's death. The only reason that fictional character moved me was because it was an extraordinary hellish expereince. I'd rather have a fictional character go through that torment then see a human suffer through something as equally tramatizing. REAL pain is conveyed through insubstantial emotion, which doesn't only exist in the physical world. I feel sorry for the girl yes, I like Micheal Jackson yes But The way I see It if I have to be sad for their loss why shouldn't I be sad for the other fathers who die every day. I don't live my life like that. Furthermore, the main reason it moved me was because I had learned about the character and they had a breakthrough. Isn't it rational to feel for someone or something that you know or understand more about. What really pisses me off is how the same people who accused Micheal Jackson of being a Molestor are now reverering him now that he is gone. My Heart isn't that wishy washy like most people. And Even Worse, Who GIVES A DAMN, what they did for him. IT WAS AFTER HE DIED THAT PEOPLE STARTED to feel sorry. What would have moved me was that if Paris had said what she did when he was alive. Most people now a days don't do that. Cherishing should be at its greatest when its there, cause that when it matters the most. I don't want to live with regret knowing that I waited till after my dad died to tell him I love him with tears in my eyes! To me Paris has an excuse, because she is a child, so she didn't know it could happen. But what about everybody else in Jackson's Life?! That's what saddened me, it wasn't his death but his life. EMOTION is REAL regardless of where it is, if feeling more emotion from a fictional character rather than someone else is fucked up, than honestly I don't give a damn.

Aw, someone seems irritated. I would be insulted by this if you'd taken the time to come up with better slurs than calling me a "big old stinky jackass". To be using insults like that, you're either in grade school, or you're just sad. You don't even know me and yet you take such time and effort to yell at me. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, little one, but....wait, no, that's not fair. I'm not sorry at all, and I'll tell you why.

 

Too many people don't understand that you can't believe everything you read on the internet. I had done this just to make a point on Wikipedia, I really didn't think it would become so widespread. But it has, and I personally find it both laughable and depressing how easily people are fooled. Sites like IMDB and Wikipedia and many, many others like them, are subject to faulty information left and right and up and down. And people take that information at face value and accept them without a moment's hesitation, and spread that same faulty information to others. Pretty soon, as has happened with this, everyone believes something that just isn't true.

 

An interesting sidenote that I didn't mention in that thread is that a few days after the information was added, I decided "okay, I've had my fun", and sent in a corrective submission to IMDB to remove Hollingshead from the cast list, and under the "reason" heading, I said "incorrect information". And yet, it wasn't removed, so I figured "oh well".

 

So you can consider this a lesson in reality, little one. Question what you read, ask where information comes from, and don't just believe whatever someone tells you. If you just swallow whatever information someone feeds you without a second thought, then it's your own fault when you choke on it.

 

And as for Terra, yes, I am a Terra fan, I adore her. While you're linking to the original thread for this deed, maybe you can dig up the thread where I started the Terra fanclub, or find the thread where another Terra fan requested a signature banner of her and I made it for her.

 

You expressed a desire for me to read this thread to see how lame and stupid I am. Well, here I am, and I certainly agree *someone* posting in this thread is lame and stupid, but it isn't me.

I know you can't trust whats on the 50% on the web, but when you do make stuff up like that, it lowers the credibility of valid sites, and makes people more reluctant to search for information on the web. Which along with communication is the most important function of the internet.

I'm naturally skeptical and I hardly believe anything when I see regardless of where I get my information, some people like Crimson, are alot more trusting and wouldn't expect it if they weren't looking for it.

I'm not saying you should say I'm sorry, nor should she have to forgive you.

But what you shouldn't have done is responded here, its really pointless to make an account just for that reason. Especially in a technical forum(where people want to work or design RPGMAKER games)

Actually, it wasn't Wikipedia I edited, it was the Internet Movie Database. I did so to actually demonstrate *why* IMDB isn't a reliable source for Wikipedia, because, as you point out, Wikipedia can be a hard site to trust. Part of the problem is people who edit it don't take the time to verify their information and just add whatever they please. Hence my campaign against speculatory information about Dissidia, which lead to this little debacle with Terra.

Some time before I made that thread on Lifestream.net, I made a post on my Wiki userpage explaining the Terra issue, and have done a second message against this week. On my YouTube Dissidia vids, when someone has said that Hollingshead is voicing Terra, several times I'm replied publicly and stated that the information is false and was added by me. And as I said, I sent in a form to remove the Terra VA info from IMDB, though for some reason it never got processed. I've attempted to bring to light that this information is false, and yet word still hasn't gotten out. Oh well.

 

I didn't do this with the intent to cause trouble, though you obviously believe otherwise. I did it to prove a point on Wikipedia and nothing more. And while I admit I find it amusing that it's happened, if I had known this misinformation would spread so far I wouldn't have added it.
