SAPravus13 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2009 I've been hard at work on a project I started (and subsequently forgot) some time ago and I've recently been working on creating some facesets for my characters using the Face Maker 3.1 program. I've gotten most of my essential characters' facesets completed, but there's one I'm having some trouble with. One of my characters is a dwarf with a thick beard and mustache who wears a bear pelt on his head. I created the closest possible faceset to what I needed using Face Maker but the lack of a proper beard/mustache combo makes it impossible for me to have the faceset as accurate as I'd like. Here are some examples of a few of my other characters and the default faces I made for them: char 1: http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/4308/serafin.png char 1 face: http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/9553/seraphinstandard.png char 2: http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/5341/boothe.png char 2 face: http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/4818/boothestandard.png Here is an example of what I have for my dwarf character so far: dwarf: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1756/higullar.png dwarf face: http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/5610/higullarstandard.png If anyone would be so kind as to add a proper mustache to the images of my faceset or to create a resource and explain to me how to combine it with my current work (I'm a photoshop newbie) I would be in your debt. Credit for your work will be given to you in the final product as well. The full "alpha" faceset for my dwarf character can be downloaded here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DG9S0SPA Any further details needed or questions/concerns can be directed back to me. Thanks! Enigma 10 Report post Posted August 22, 2009 Faceset? are you doing this for vx? I'm pretty sure the face pictures need to be 96*96 so they can fit into the windows. If your usin XP you don't use face sets, you use a message system and one face, basically ur faces are split U have to specify whichsystem you are using though r this is pointless
SAPravus13 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2009 My apologies for not specifying. I am using RPG Maker XP and Ccoas UMS to achieve the desired effect.
Enigma 10 Report post Posted August 22, 2009 My apologies for not specifying. I am using RPG Maker XP and Ccoas UMS to achieve the desired effect. Oh :P ;) I got yah 1. you don't need a faceset, just a single picture per face(Im not even sure putting all the faces in one picture will work corectly 2. go to the program file of facemaker, go into pictures, and go to beard, change your view to thumbnail mode via right clicking when you see the beard and mustashce u want to use open them both in your freindly neighboorhood picture editor 3. copy 1 of them, and then paste it on to the other one, i think copying the mustasche onto the beard is easier. Then save the combo as a different number< DONT SAVE OVER THE ONES U USED OR U WILL lose THEM. close out of it then run facemaker, it should be the number u saved it as. NOTE:When you cut and paste them together, thats how it will look when on your character, so if you want the mustasche and the beard to be close together, paste it like that. Also your gonna want to save in 96 by 96 if your usin Ccoa's Ums
