Nisage 31 Report post Posted August 24, 2009 I'm getting this message when I open Photoshop. "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled gpu enhancements." Should I be worried, and can someone tell me how to enable the GPU enhancements please? Edit: Message has disappeared, guess it doesn't want to be fixed :P Nevermind, I'll leave this open in case if it appears again (knowing me and computers, it might). rgangsta 43 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 I get an error too, when I open my Photoshop. It's not the same as yours, but mine still works. You should contact Adobe and let them know what's up. ;)
TheSchneid 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 its nothing to be worried about... *hides...* and it comes up with that every so often... all it is is setting video enhancements to default i believe its a simple matter to put them back as you want by going to -edit -preferences -general and then jsut do what you need to do to put it back as you want =] hope that helps you nisage =]
formlesstree4 18 Report post Posted August 26, 2009 The error is with your Graphics Card and it's drivers. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it except restart the computer, or disable the GPU enhancements, they're not that good anyway :P

The GPU enhancements for CS4 are ONLY for using the 3D portion (so I'm assuming you have extended edition). So if you don't use the 3D in PSCS4, I wouldn't worry about it. But if it still concerns you, visit your manufacturer/vendor website and download the newest driver.
