Dissidia: Final Fantasy

Recommended Posts

I modded mine, didn't cost a dime. Only thing it will cost you is getting to the PSN. Of course, if you also folly it in some way, it could cost your PSP unless you know someone who can unbrick it, with a Pandora Bat and MMS. I think it is worth it, cuts the load time of Dissidia to nil. (it even tops the data install).

I'm not sure if I'm going to try and get the game or not (I've heard mixed things about it), but I just have to ask, What does it mean to "Mod" your PSP?

The PSP I got came with other stuff since I bought it in a box like the one This Link. (Well, it was that game or some Guitar Hero game or something like that. It probably would be sitting in a corner gathering dust if I got it (Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is what I'm spending countless hours playing right now. Countless if it didn't count them for me, anyway))

So, if you read all of that and forgot the question, What does it mean to "Mod" your PSP?

I think it's when you modify your PSP to let games or the such playable, for example if you have an old version of a psp, it is possible to play FFIX on it (I find that pro!)

I think it also mean to physically modifying your psp or to "pimp your psp", like add leds or modifing your psp UMD door and so on.

Not sure if it means to make your psp play games just form the memory card or playing form emulators. I think that is called hacking, but since you need a pandora battery, you can call it to mod too :)

PS: btw FFIX rocks :D

by mod, i meant to load up a CFW, custom firmware, to allow you to play PSX games on it, play PSP games from memory stick, etc.

HOWEVER,

recently, Sony has fixed it so any new psp games cannot be played on a modded psp, and you cannot access the psn network, and to further it, you cannot mod any new 2000 series psps, no 3000 series, or hte psp go

Speaking of hacked PSPs, I got mine hacked just last week. I have 5.50 GEN-D2 and I never knew that it detects the game that you're playing and gives you cheats for it, it can also take screenshots! I love my hacked PSP and it's custom themes. But the only games I'm waiting for is KH: Birth by Sleep and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (demo is awesome).
