Ok there is 1 big question being asked. Windows 7 will you get it when it comes out?

Me personally, I will get it when it comes out. It already seems more secure than XP and Vista. It takes care of its self unlike XP and Vista. It tells you exactly what is wrong instead of This might be the problem.

It runs faster than XP and Vista(Just a little more faster than XP). Not any errors as far as i found and im beta testing it. The beta is already more stable than Vista and XP.

All in all im so getting this once it comes out. I think Microsoft has outdone them self with this operating system.

Note: Most people say they dont want to try it because its just like vista well there WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! Its more like XP with the vista look.

I didn't even know there was a 7 coming out, didn't even know there was a 6 and below. I like the computer I'm using right now. But if I need to get a new computer, I'll look at Windows 7 first.

Here is the order.

1 - Windows 95

2 - Windows 98

3 - Windows 2000

4 - Windows ME

5 - Windows XP

6 - Windows Vista

7 - Then the 7th one Windows 7

You wont need a new computer for Windows 7. IF your computer can handle Windows XP or Windows Vista you will be able to run Windows 7.

I do suggest you have at least 512mb RAM, 1ghz Processor, 128mb Graphics Card, 50gb HDD. Almost any computer has these now days.

Those are the minimum i suggest.

I did on a computer with 384mb RAM, 800mhz(1000mhz=1ghz), 64mb Graphics Card, 15gb HDD. Yes those are below the minimum but it runs just fine.

If you ever buy the Windows 7 DVD and need help on installing feel free to ask me and i will help you do it.

Oh, I thought there was something like a Windows 6 :P Never heard of Windows 2000 or Windows ME, the rest I've heard of and have. Also, they couldn't come up with a better name, so they went with 7 since it's the 7th model/version? It works I guess :P Huh, it's an installation update, not a whole computer like a Dell?

Think of Windows 7 as a program used to run other programs. You know windows XP? Its the operating system your computer has installed on it. An operating system is just a whole software system. Its like putting a program on your flashdrive and accessing files only on that flashdrive. If you remove the file and replace it with a newer one you just updated like updating the operating system. Removes the old and puts a new one on it.

Better yet think of a car and a garage.

Garage = Your computer's Hard Drive

Car1 and Car2 = Operating system.

You have your old Car1(Windows XP) in your Garage(Hard Drive) and your car is very old and you need a new one. Your new Car2(Windows 7) arives and you decide to get rid of the old one. so you take all of your stuff out of the Car1. Which means the stuff is files. So you back up the files so nothing gets lost. So after you take your things out you take your Car1 out(Uninstall Windows XP from Hard drive) The you decide to park your Car2 in the Garage which installs Windows 7 on your Hard Drive. Once you have your Car2 installed you want to move your items(Files) back into the new car. Wala you have a new system.

Dont know if i explained this right but i hope you get the idea.

EDIT: I was told many times i should become a computer teacher.

Yup every game i came across so far was able to work under Windows 7.

If not there is always an easy way to do it.

I have already the installation. Now it's just a question of cleaning up and deciding whether I want the 32-bit or 64-bit version.

Note that Windows 7 may work even if Vista don't.

@Polradio: Your version line is not right. I remember using Windows 3.11 back in the MS-DOS age

Here is the windows history presenting at Microsoft's website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/WinHistoryDesktop.mspx

It's only up to 2003, for further versions I suggest looking at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows#Timeline_of_releases

*hugs*
