Nisage 31 Report post Posted September 1, 2009 Yep, another computer problem from me..... I wanted to work on my XP game a bit, but for some odd reason the AVG scanner think's RMXP is a trojan program so it won't let me run it :( Well.... I can set up events and all that, it just won't let me play it. It hasn't effected RMVX, so I wonder why only RMXP. It didn't happen a few days ago, it's really weird. Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix this? Edit: I didn't know where to post this, so I'm going with Computers, Internet & Programming since it's a computer program, AVG, that won't let me run RMXP which is acting fine. Polraudio 122 Report post Posted September 1, 2009 Try disabling AVG somehow and see if that works. If not i will try to help you with TV later.
Nisage 31 Report post Posted September 1, 2009 Got it, just two things. One, how do you disable it? Two, when I use another scan program to find any problems, once the scan scans the game.exe for RMXP, AVG will show i'ts trojan pop-up warning about the game.exe of RMXP. Who knew one scan could trigger a warning pop-up for another scan program?

Nisage 31 Report post Posted September 1, 2009 @Kiikookiik: So that's how you disable it, good to know for future reference, thanks. The problem is somehow fixed. Only one thing was deleted from the scans, it wasn't a virus (:)) The result said it was a cookie or something like that. It's weird that it hasn't happened before.Thank you both for your help :)
CrimsonInferno 35 Report post Posted September 1, 2009 I use AVG. Click AVG and go into "Resident Shield" Click it and than click the bottom left button called "Manage Exceptions " and than click "Add Path" to the far right and find the folder where your RPG maker is in. Click the folder (the path! Example: C:\Program Files) and than when you have the selected place picked, click "OK" and than press the "Apply" button and than "OK" again. This should let you use your RPG maker and stop any funkiness. AVG likes to block things randomly, like MSN. Hoped this help.

CrimsonInferno 35 Report post Posted September 2, 2009 Or, while you want to use RPG XP/VX or any other program blocked, turn off AVG and than turn it back on whenever you're done working on your game ^^
Leon 55 Report post Posted September 2, 2009 Here's an easy solution, go to free-av.com and download the antivirus 'avira'/ It is free, and 100% better than AVG. trust me.
