[XP] Caterpillar Script Help

Question

I must say, I have been doing fine and have been making good progress until I have been in the need of making a companion/follower in the game.

I have been using the Pokemon Essentials source for making my game and I need to make a follower such as a pokemon to follow me during the game.

I have heard about the Caterpillar Script but I have no idea how to create or add it in anyway, better yet, I do not understand how to create any kind of script but I can manage to do fine making events in the game.

If I could please have someone teach me to do this, video or pictures would be fine. :)

There is the Caterpillar Script on this site.....

http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/index.php/rmxp/rgss1-scripts/item/system-enhances/caterpillar-system.html

You just copy and past the Scripts into your game. I can try to make a small video on how to copy and paste Scripts from one game to another.

Ahh, I would like the small video tutorial but the question is, which scripts are the ones I really need and once I copy and paste them, how do I apply them to the game as in how would I be able to show my follower in the game?

It's really quite simple once you get use to it. Just download the script and copy it. Go into the scripts in your game and right click on "Main" which is towards the bottom and press insert. Then paste the script. The script may call for pasting somewhere else.

I think you need all of them, try copying one at a time and see if any error messages appear when you playtest with a few of them instead of all of them. Here's the video.....

Ok the scripts I saw you copy are different from the demo I have. But anyways I copied the scripts that were seperated by a blank script and pasted them onto mine. Here are some pictures that led me to an error.

It was made by Fukuyama, so remember to credit him. Try this and see if it works in the game or not, hope it does work.

It was made by Fukuyama, so remember to credit him. Try this and see if it works in the game or not, hope it does work.

Thanks, for the script but just one question. How do I add them onto the script editor? They seem a little confusing adding to the database.

Nevermind, I figured out how to copy and paste it, but I just got a new error.
