Leon 55 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 For those of you who have either forgotten, or weren't around at the time, the beginning of this year, around January 3rd, a friend of mine was slain by her boyfriend. Just to recap: I work in a daycare, and I met her and her daughter, Trinity, there. Well, about 7 months of getting to know them, her mother was stabbed by her boyfriend. Not once, or twice, but over 16 times. Not with one knife, but around 7 different knives were used from her own kitchen. To make that matter worse, her daughter was home. The next day, when Trinity's grandfather stopped by to check on them, he found a trail of blood, and Trinity told him 'Mommy's a mess.' Well, as of early Sept, her murderer was brought to justice with a 16 to life sentence. The only reason he was not brought up to the life sentence or even death penalty, as he could have gotten, was a plea bargain. The bargain was that the 2nd degree felony of Domestic Violence in front of a child be dropped in exchange for a plea of Guilty. Although this may not seem fair, her family is content with this ruling. And I only pray that Trinity will never have to worry about her mother's killer on the loose when she turns 21. (16 years from now.) I only wanted to let you all know, in case you were wondering.
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 That is very sad news. I feel sorry for you Leon and that girl. It should have been life. My dad rapes my sister and only gets 15 years, the same for killing someone that is bullshit if you tell me. If you kill someone you deserve to die.

zane203 8 Report post Posted October 7, 2009 i can honestly say thats a great statement of selfcontrol... i've had my share of darkness in my past, but nothing compares to these stories... i have a few problems with anger (been in control for over 5 years now so far tho) and i can say i would have lost it... i wish nothing but a fulfilled life for you and the families... and again, i commend you on your selfcontrol and personalities...
