Derek 3 Report post Posted October 8, 2009 Oh wow!! I have been a member of a few other forums in my day, but the hospitality here is amazing!! To answer a few of your questions ... I have been using RMXP for roughly two years on and off. I even did my senior project for graduating high school on the power that the engine gives the creator. I had been creating a solo project for nearly all of those two years, but eventually gave up in the end. I was constantly finding myself struggling to stay motivated. I had created some original resources for my project. Those resources included (Charasets, Windowskins, and even Tilesets). My game had been highly anticipated by various members at the forum where I spent most of my time (Chaos Project). I've come to notice though, that without a team it is very difficult to create everything that is needed. My main skill is pixel art. I excel at spriting, but I'm also very good at creating event systems. I tried numerous times to obtain a quality understanding of the RGSS feature, but I could never quite grasp it. I won't blame my lack of interest on my inability to script, but I have only ever dreamed of creating a game with a side-view battle system, but I haven't found one to date that I liked, expect for Ccoa's, which has been lost to time.
