An Imersive Hogwarts game

As most of the fans of Harry Potter, we have all been disapointed from the Harry Potter Games. We all yearn for an MMORPG of the Wizarding World.

So, this led me to want to create an immersive Harry Potter game. To be honest, I wasn't going to use RPGMK at all. I wanted to go for a 3d world, I have the engine to do it with, but i knew it would not look good.

 

Since this will be the first version of the game. I to release the game year by year, year by year mean, Hogwart's first years, all the way to graduation from hogwarts.

 

Anyways let me go into some detail about what I have in mind.

I want the player to be able to create his own character in game. This allows the user to feel more apart of the Harry Potter world. At the moment, i have not added that to thing. When i do the updates, i would like for that to be in one of them. Just need to script it.

I plan to add all the classes that you would take if you were going to Hogwarts. All the spells. All the areas around Hogwarts. Such as Diagon Alley, Hogsmead(spelling?) Shrieking Shack. Platform 9&3quaters.

Etc..Etc..

 

So if there is anyway you guys can help me or support in making this game, be what I want it to be, please feel free!:D

The main thing I need is sprites with all the house robes on them. From there, I can change the faces acordingly.

 

I know I didnt Post too much information of what I had in mind, but you guys can use your imagination, and tell me about, Im always searching for ideas to help me! As I type this, im going over all the movies.

And im working on getting all my books back so I can "study" the Harry Potter series.

This looks like a cool project! I also hated the hp games, they were so retarded LOL

Hmmmm... Cant wait to see this. Im a big fan of my movies also(Just saying because i look like him)

Yea Im also a big fan, however i may not look like him, my last name is Potter:D

 

Yeah As soon as i get some of the maps done ill upload some screenshots. Im currently working on Diagon alley, Even though the tile sets are a little limited it doesnt look too bad, when ever I find or create better tile sets, ill put them in one of the updates. And i would be glad to let you test it. Ill send you some core gameplay demos when they are available.

Thanks:D Ill check her site out. That happens to be another major factor of the game, that i can forsee being a big curve in making the game. Dont get me wrong, its going to be a fun process. Just long. I would really like to get accurate information. I would need all the Spells, Classes, Teachers, Areas, inculding smaller areas too, I want to have the sandbox feel.

 

And i have put some thought into data transfer. At the current moment, im unsure how I would go about doing this. If you know how, then that might also solve the In game Character Creator that i have in mind.

I already have the Character Creator. When I release the beta, i would like the player to be able to utilize this program in game. However the creator would be limited at first. But im going to add more options to the console as i go, but at the main moment im not going to focus on that. Finishing the story and maps are my current prime consern.

And agian, if you know how to do the data transfer go ahead and tell me, that would be sweet if i could get that in there:):):)

I can help with spells, I know most of them, and their effects (I retain a lot that I read, and can recall it accurately). I will write up a list for you tomorrow containing the spells, their incantations and their effects.
