Ragnyrok 3 Report post Posted January 21, 2010 2 Updates on this, in case anyone cares to hear about it... RPG Maker DS Sees Delay Japan was due to see RPG Maker DS release on January 28th, 2010, but that date is now a distant dream. It has been confirmed that the title is now going to be pushed back to March 11th, 2010. The reason for the delay was to improve quality. Let's hope the wait ends up being worth it, and that the game gets a localization! from gonintendo.com Online Game Sharing Famitsu just confirmed all the data-sharing options you could have hoped for in RPG Maker DS. What’s more, you can share data both locally and through online Wi-Fi. First up is "card data," which is the term used for things like items and monsters. If you like a monster or an item in a game your friend created, you can obtain it via grabbing his card data. Then you have game data, which is the term used for sharing entire games. You can even send games locally to someone without a copy of RPG Maker DS through download play, but just like demos, they’ll lose the data once they turn their DS off. RPG Maker DS releases in March 2010 for 5,460 yen. I doubt it’ll get localized but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an English-speaking community for the game. from joystiq.com

Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 I played the other console versions and they sucked. So I give no high hopes or expectations for this hunk of junk...oh it's mean, but my honest opinion.
Ragnyrok 3 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 I played the other console versions and they sucked. So I give no high hopes or expectations for this hunk of junk...oh it's mean, but my honest opinion. The console versions you played were not developed by Enterbrain. Enterbrain, keep in mind, is the Developer of the RPG Maker Series on the PC. NOT the same people responsible for the RPG Makers(RPG Maker, RPG Maker 1, RPG Maker 2) on the Home Consoles. So, what you said is unfounded... You can't judge a Developer's work based on the shit-job of another Developer. My guess is that RMDS will be sort of like a Port of RMVX but w/o the Ruby. Apparently, they're also including the Famitsu Character Generator with RPG Maker DS. So, at least there's a little more option in the character choice...
