Magic the Gathering - Versumi Set

Recommended Posts

Ok, so, here's the thing...my brother got me into Magic the Gathering...but I barely know anything about it. I want to try to make my Titans into MTG cards. Anyone think they can help? (I have a program, but I need effects). Here's what I have so far...are these cards good?

They are way to overpowered, a 20/20 for 9 mana with trample, haste and flying? thats just unfair.

in MTG everyone starts with 20 life. and the most powerfull creature ever printed has 13 in Power.

Also, lands are colourless. no matter what mana they produce. So all of the "destroy (coloured) lands" abilities are useless.

You either have to increase theire mana cost by a huge amount and make restrictions so that they cannot be abused by re-animation decks or you have to make them less powerfull.

i like the idea with big titan creatures though!

You are using MTGSet editor right?

something like this would be better. firstly, by removing the haste keyword, you cannot attack or use its ability the turn you send it out

second, i would make the tap ability better, that way you would use it more instead of just attacking.

you really should start playing magic, its the best card game out there

Yeah. They're supposed to be way powerful, as they are supposed to be "gods" but I know so little about magic, I'm not sure what will make good cards and what won't. Also, only Abolition has trample (which I'll probably get rid of). As for mana cost, though, I'd love to increase the cost, but I'm not sure how...I want all the mana to be one color for certain monsters, but the most I can put in is 10 without scrunching up the name.

You can make the mana cost lower and still make them verry powerfull. You just have to design the card so that it wont be powerfull the second you summon it but that it regains its power over time.

Here is an example:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Abolition (B)(B)(B)(B)(B) <-- (5 black mana)

Legendary Creature - Nightmare

Abolitions power and toughness is equal to the number of nightmare creatures you control

Nightmare Creatures you control get +1/+1

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 1/1 black nightmare creature token into play under your contro

--------------------------------------------------------------

This is a verry good card, and it's not too overpowered. It gets stronger every round and it gives you more and more 2/2 nightmare creatures. :)

But it all depends, if you want a big creature instead of a creature that regains its power over time then you just have to increase the mana cost with colourless mana.

Hmm...well, that is one idea -nods- What about the others? What should I do with them? If lands are colorless, I'm not entirely sure what to do...maybe...tap for protection from that color?

I believe it's called "Magic Set Editor" or something to that degree. You'll have to google it, I'm not sure where I got it ^^"

Just type something like "Destroy all forrests" instead of destroy all green lands. and mountains for red one, swamps for black ones, islands for blue ones and plains for white ones.

Or like you said "Creatures you control get protection from [Colour] until end of turn"
