Why do you have GIMP?

And may I suggest a black background? They are the best for organization.

I was using gimp so i can remind my self on how bad it was and why i hated it so much.

I like the pictures i take with my camera. I have it set to change every 10sec.

I tried to keep my desk clean but it failed. So much stuff to do every day it gets like that by the end of the day.

I could never get used to that... One day I'd be like "Where is my taskbar?! WHERE!?!"

-_-

I find it so much easier to have the taskbar at the top together with all your windows instead of seperating the taskbar from the programs/windows you have up.

Took me like a year and a half to get fully used to it though

Mine, I think a little too clean.

Nice a Linux user. I personally like Kubuntu. Got to love KDE.

I have a dual boot Kubuntu and Windows 7.

Do you have window also or just strictly Linux?

With the GNOME desktop for Linux, the start button (more or less, the Applications/Places/System buttons), a few launchers, the system tray, volume control, and and the date are all up on the top taskbar. The show desktop, trashcan, workspace switcher and open windows are all down on the bottom taskbar. Sure the screen is about 48px shorter, but after using GNOME for a year, it's so much easier than Windows's single cluttered taskbar. Ubuntu for the win. I'm actually remixing Ubuntu right now.

This is a screenshot of my Ubuntu (Jaunty) desktop. I made it in GIMP myself. The reason my screen is so small is because my only computer is a Dell Latitude D600 laptop.

EDIT - The two buttons down the bottom are for mounting and unmounting my virtual harddisks.
