[XP]The Collector

Most of you don't know this game because it was under development but all my friends know it exist because they tested it and you know who you are.

 

Anyways this game is very fun even for someone who created it.

This game is kind of like Pac-Man except you collect objects within a certain amount of time. There are 3 different modes for you to adjust to the game. Easy, Normal, Perfect. The easier the difficulty the more time you get in each round but you get to select a difficulty before entering a level. Each stage was tested at least 50 times so times are right on.

 

Now for everyone's favorite part, some screenshots

Not very many because i don't want ruin the fun.

Awesome game :D . I got to play as Kiriashi. Anyway, I remember seeing some things for Zadune Games, such as your Interactive Title Screen and was wondering if I could join. If you need help with eventing systems or really hard events I can help :D .

Also, on a technical note, I don't really like the typing of save names and whatnot...takes forever just to type one character... :huh:

You just use the keyboard like im typing now. Better than using the arrow keys and hitting enter.

I know its spelled wrong. I made it a Z on purpose.

 

 

 

Lots more coming out once i get the time this weekend to make more levels and fix a few things.

Awesome, thanks. What kind of eventing systems do you need? Also, if I am to have a character I would like it to be this:

Well if you look in the pictures you will see a story by formlesstree4. I need a system that will allow the player to read the book.

Hmm... I made the same kind of event for one of my old games. It is a little hard. I'll need some better graphics for it, however. I'll see what I can do them PM you a link to the demo. Also, I'm editting my character a bit so that he looks more evil and sinister :D .

Yay... wait... no Health Insurance!? I cannot work under these conditions!!! Grab my resume, Jephery, we are leaving! Lol, just kidding. Anyway, here is my new character. Did some editting on paint. Here it is:

I'm working on the system. Last thing I need to do is fix a few things in the graphics department and I should be finished :D . Quite simple, actually.

To stay on topic: really neat little game you made, Pol...I got through the first 3 levels after I figured out why I was a lozer on the first one (I was missing the flower behind the tree :P) Good job. :D

Tomo i will add you to the staff list tonight.

 

If you wish to make levels for The Collector we will be more than happy to accept. here is a template.

 

The only thing you need to do is make sure the player cant pass through the top 6 tiles down because the HUD will get in the way if they do.

You can use this one. I haven't made any edits yet.

Note that level 5 might be moved down to lvl 10 because its very complex and might take 100 tries to get the time right.

Ah. Very clever design. I'd love to make one for the swamp :D . The swamp is my favourite tileset. And yes, ShinyToyGuns, I took the thief, got rid of his legs, recoloured him a very dark shade of black, and added the red inscriptions and the hole in his back all on paint.

 

Edit: Damn, theres already a swamp one. Also, I had an idea. For each staff member they each get there own level.

 

Edit 2: Found a heap more grammar glitches. Here are some:

^ P.S. should be in capitals.

^ It should be "it's" instead of "its". You need to comma between the t and s.

^ Instead of "off of", just use "on" instead. Sounds a bit better, too.

^ What is says here makes it sound like only Zadune Staff Members can get into this area. Maybe, instead, it should say "The following Characters represent Zadune Staff Members".

^ Get rid of 1 l for Crystal.

 

Thats all for now :D . Oh, yeah, I should be able to have a working version of the Help System soon. Just tell me what it should say. It will include controls, the HUD, and some other stuff.

Thanks for pointing out the errors Tomo i will have them fixed as soon as i can.

Also the help system will be all script based. Its going to include help along with your save name and have lots of pictures(Maybe).

But if you can do it with events go for it.

Too easy. And I have finally finished the Book System. It required some scripting and will take a while to get a hang of so maybe, whenever you add a new page, you tell me and I'll fix up the system. It is very complex; features 2 scripts (originally used in Hope Afloat; not my own, however. Can't remember who made it) and will require a new script for each page. Also, it requires a new folder. Anyhow, I'll PM you the link right away. Enjoy. If you need my to add anything just say so.

 

I'll get to work on the help file ASAP.

Props on the new system Tomo. I should help out again and learn RGSS...I self taught VB.net to myself, how hard could RGSS be???

yea you designed Level 5 but im bumping it up to Level 10 or higher due to difficulty. Dont want the level hill to steep. This game is going to have anywhere from 100-??? Levels.

RGSS is not all that hard to learn

You would use this in a conditional branch script

Kboard.keyboard($R_Key_1)

 

I looked over it and it looks a little confusing. The story is all picture based and no text is involved.

I been working on rewriting my scripts and remaking my images for TC.

The new images will be more modern look and have a better appeal.

 

The scripts will have some added content that can be changed from the options menu.

EX: You can change the Opacity of the HUD along with new HUD colors and styles. Also change the windowskin.

 

Let me know what you think of the new title and if my new features to come are good.
