formlesstree4 18 Report post Posted October 25, 2009 Well, I've been having a lot of ideas recently about things so I thought I'd make a topic and put spoilers to hide the areas so you can view the whole topic at once. I'm hoping that if you do use one of the story plots, you do tell me so I can link to the game and say "This plot has been used." in the description. I'll add to this occasionally as new story ideas come to me. Idea 1: The Rising [The Protagonist is just left as 'boy' or protagonist, you fill in the name] You start out as a peasant boy in a village on the outer edges of a crumbling kingdom.. The village itself is located near a lake and a forest, which are both full of various food sources and monster, making it a very nice place to live at, just not the most prosperous [due to the kingdoms' high taxes]. The Village is raided by enemy nomadic tribes, ransacking the entire place. The boys' parents are killed, leaving him an orphan. Desperate and alone, he travels into the wilderness, towards the forest, in hopes of finding something to help him out, or at least a place to live. What he finds is a thriving village hidden in the forest, secluded from civilization. He is greeted by a scouting team, and faints in shock at how fast and quiet they were. They quickly take him inside their hospital area and revive him. The boy is accepted into the community and is raised as a warrior. Before his training is fully complete, there are mysterious vibes echoing out of the forest, and the scouts report hostile activities near the forest edge. It appeared as if the Kingdom had come to take out the hidden village, thinking they were the ones responsible for the pillaging of most of the Kingdom that had happened. Greatly outnumbered, the hidden village scouts manage to hold off the army until the bulk of the forces come, including the boy. A massive fight breaks out, resulting in heavy casualties in the Kingdoms' Army. In a last ditch effort, the Army pushes through the lines, right towards the village. The Protagonist then takes off back to the forest, and does catch up to the marching army. Since he was raised in the forest, he was able to setup holding traps and death pits all along their path, eliminating most of the army. At the end of the path, the boy stands between the village and a group of 10 men. A fight between them breaks out, where he single-handedly kills all 10, nearly dying himself, only being saved by a mysterious young girl [who also lives in the village, you are free to name her as she plays a vital role.]. After he is revived, the boy is given a heroes feast and honor, since he saved the village from certain destruction. He did not want the praise, but had little say in stopping it. He was angry at the Kingdom, first for not defending his own home village, and now for attacking another hidden village for no reason. He swore vengeance on the Kingdom that ruined his life. <There is a timeskip of about 10 years here> Fully trained, and now a powerful leader in the village, the boy and that mysterious girl are now married, having fallen deeply in love. They have one son who is on his way to becoming a powerful warrior like his dad [name him too.]. While at a Town Hall meeting, the village gets ambushed by soldiers of the Kingdom. With the village burning around him, the protagonist slaughters nearly half of the soldiers before the rest flee. There was only one casualty, and that was his son. A soldier had approached him from behind while he was engaged with another soldier, and gouged him in the side, killing him instantly. In anger and sorrow, the protagonist sets out, without his wife [at this point] to destroy the Kingdom that had destroyed nearly everything dear to him. [End of The game would be here] Idea 2: The Fallen Kingdom The game picks up where Idea 1 left off, showing the protagonist in some sort of a fighting cutscene. He is surrounded by 4 Elite Guards (possibly close to the capital of the Kingdom), and he quickly kills them all. After resting for a second, the screen fades out to where the protagonist is seen walking along a path, and entering a city. There are several groups of guards on patrol, each trained to look for him (There are posters plastered everywhere for his arrest/death, apparently he's been busy in the Kingdom.) He dodges several patrols as he quickly makes his way towards the castle. Using several magic tricks, he turns invisible and starts attacking the castle guards from a distance with magical powers. Unable to locate the source, the guards fall quickly, leaving a hole in the castle defense. He then casts a large area barrier, blocking all reinforcements from entering, and trapping himself with the rest of the guards inside. Using his stealth magic, he quickly slips by several guards, silently assassinating them from behind with a knife (or whatever weapon you want to use that you consider stealthy). With every guard slaughtered, he removes his invisibility, and walks into the castle. The moment he walks in, he is surrounded by guards. He tries to fight them off, but is quickly overwhelmed by the numbers. He did take out a good chunk, but they soon pinned him down, and had him captured. He was drugged (so he couldn't use magic), and thrown in Jail for attempted assassination of the King. After becoming a little more conscious, he meets his cell-mate, a very adept swordsman who was wrongly charged of murder. Left here for several days, the King seemed to have forgotten about the protagonist, who soon finds out he has limited magic ability back. Using what little magic he can, he broke himself and his cell-mate out. The two snuck around the castle, looking for the armory when they were spotted by a passing guard. He quickly shouted before the protagonist could get to him. Quickly snapping his neck in two, they took off in a random direction, hoping to avoid the guards. They luckily got out of there at the right time, and missed a rush of guards. They quickly stumbled onto the Armory room, where they find an array of weapons at their disposal. The protagonist takes a trusty collection of daggers, knifes, and one longsword, while his friend takes a long sword and a shield. The protagonist finds out that his friend knows the way to the King's Chambers, but it's heavily guarded, which leaves them with a few choices: Up front attack, dragged out attack, magical attack. It was chosen that the protagonist would launch a forward magical bombardment, while his friend would guard his rear. [Optional to show the attack going on as numbers of guards fall to the attack] The two approach the door to the King and throw it open, to have 10 archers with bows pointed at them. Using his quick magic powers [which have now become completely revived], the protagonist produces a large barrier shield which the arrows bounce off of. In return, he fires his own energy arrow, which pierces all the archers, killing them instantly. All that's left is the King, who is holding a long sword and a shield. [Can show a long detailed fight scene where the protagonists' friend ends up getting cut down. About to deliver the kill shot, the King is attacked from behind by the protagonist, dealing a fatal blow which kills the King. Emotional scene where the friend nearly dies, but the protagonists' magic saves him.] Together, the two friends ascend to the throne, taking over the Kingdom that they both [in essence, they both wanted to change the kingdom and kill the king] wanted to destroy.
