April Mapping contest

Recommended Posts

Well, lighting for instance. It may be lighter in one spot than it is in another. Atleast 95% of the event commands can be used for this project.

well, in truth...you can only use the commands I ilsed...in which case you can only use about 1/3 if that...I think I listed specific commands anyway...and if not, then my computer died when trying to post that, and thus, I shall go edit...

Yeah, I know...I listed all the events that modify the map. Such as light and so forth. Also remember, you can only have 1 event to modify light and so forth, and all the modifications MUST be done right at the beginning. So you can't have events that will make the screen brighter or darker as you go, AKA, you can't make a Day and Night system, but you can darken or brighten the map if you want. Remember, this is a mapping contest, not a "who can make the best events" contest. I had it so you couldn't use any event commands, but Leon made me realize some tilesets need darkness, or weather conditions, and so forth.

Oh...that would require transfer events...which aren't allowed...so, there's no way of doing bridge stuff...well, you CAN do passabilities, but, to make you go under AND over, you'd have to use transfer events, which aren't allowed...

well...2 days left...ruins is still first place...so it looks like it may be ruins unless something else gets 2 votes...

umm... -thinks- no...I don't think I want to allow that, as anyone can do pretty much anything with that if they know what they are doing so...

All right. I only had a bridge script to use, but that's cool. your contest, your rules. But, I think we need to toss around ideas for aprils and come up with rules everyone is content with. No offense intended, just tryin to keep da peace.

only a few hours left to vote. Whether you are participating or not, you should still vote, because if you do, it will help those who are participating by giving votes to something. At current, it is ruins in the lead by one point.

erk...it's due to the inactivity, and the fact that we had a lot of problems...this will be continued for April. Please remember to have your map in by April 18...

all info should still be on the first post...like the tileset and such...you can have it any size, just as long as it isn't passed the max size allowed...you can post here, or PM them to me...the latter is preferred, so I can make a topic and such easier...

You are allowed to use whatever comes with the ruins tileset...so, autotiles and such on their own...meaning no editing of the tileset or autotiles...makes it more of a challenge that way.

Yeap, now, everyone, please be sure to get your maps in by tomrrow, because today and tomorrow are your last chances at it.
