I'm working with a game to try different things, to learn. I have everything written down and know what should happen, but while working in RPG Maker XP I got stuck.
I'll try to be detailed while explaining.
Question One:
How do I make the text show without having to press Enter to change all the time (in a dialogue for example)? Automatic text.
Question Two:
The cutscene starts in a room, people coming in and out all the time. Daughter talks to mother, they sit down and mother tells a story.
The story starts with a battle, which I made a battlescene for. I used thunder, rain, fog and a couple of parallell processes to create
fights on the map. Then I'm scrolling this battlescene up and at the same time fading out.
But I want to be able to show text during the time it scrolls, since the mother is talking about that scene.
So the question is; How do I make the text show during the scrolling?
The change from Scene 1 (Room) to Scene 2 (Battle) is working perfectly, but I can't find a way to put text and scrolling together.
Question Three:
My last question is about character opacity. As mentioned above, it starts in a room. When the cutscene starts, both the girl and her maid
is in the screen. Girl stands by a desk, maid walks towards her and talks to her. Later maid walks away and mother on the way in. But the
problem is that in the beginning of the event, I had to make the mothers character opacity 0 because I wanted her to show up later. But
when I playtest, she flickers once - scene continues, maid walks in and out and mother appears and it continues. It looks very, very
unprofessional this way.
So the question is; What do I need to do for the mother not to flicker when I start the game (playtesting)?
I am truly sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, or if it's only allowed with one question per topic.
Thank you for helping.
