Easy to use game engine

Recommended Posts

Im planning on making a list of free/easy to use game engines. The one im planning on showing is more like a map editor++ There is alot more features than basic map editors...well i havent tried any recent map editors, but good none the less...

Its called the retribution game engine. Its a FPS engine. THe grapics are still stuck in the late 90's pc games, but its free and fun to play around with.

Ill post a link http://www.apgardner.karoo.net/retrib/

You don't need a massive power house computer to run which is a plus, and most modern computers today should be able to pack quite alot with this game engine.

If your intrested in some beta testing try atmosphir. I belive its OpenGL but im not positive.

Atmosphir is a program in which you create 3d puzzle games, (don't stop reading, its actually really good) and share them with others users. People can rate them, comment them, etc... It has a few bugs that have really pissed me off, but its still really fun.

Idk if its still in closed beta, i took 2 weeks to get invited, you will have to check the website..

Anyways i gota go. Enjoy ill edit later

When I read the topic title I thought that you were looking for an easy to use game engine. :P

Anyways, this looks interesting. It reminds me of GtkRadiant. I'll check it out.
