Broken Messiah 20 Report post Posted November 7, 2009 I have a lot of files I want to upload on here, but my internet is too slow and they're too big. So i was wondering if it was possible to upload .torrent files instead.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 7, 2009 Well, if you mean the downloads manager, then you should try mediafire. It is the absolute best. If that doesn't work, then you can upload them as torrents, yes. Torrents are not illegal at all, it's what some people may use it for. Plus you can see everything your downloading, which is what I like about it. :)
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 7, 2009 you will need to leave your computer on 24/7. it will take way to long that way. You have better luck uploading it and letting your computer sit all night.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 7, 2009 True, but above all you should try mediafire. :)

formlesstree4 18 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 Torrent files are often mixed up with the illegal file sharing scene (called Warez). As long as the contents of your .torrent file is not infringing copyrights, I don't see a problem here, but I'd wait for Marked or another Administrator to confirm this. Marked 197 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 To be honest, I don't know a whole lot about torrents. But I know how they work. If you're asking permission to upload torrents to the downloads manager, then the answer would be no. If you want to attach or post them in your topics, then that's fine. But people will obviously prefer direct download links over torrents, and if you really cannot upload them to the downloads manager, then its your choice what you do. What kind of files are you looking to share? Projects or resources or something? And what size are they? True, but above all you should try mediafire. :) No, above all you should use the downloads manager. Only when you the downloads manager doesn't work for you for some reason should you turn to a hosting website. Mediafire may delete the files or close down before us. If we close down first, we no longer need to host the files. Either way, its much more convenient and safe to upload the files onto RMXPUnlimited.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Well I said that assuming that you (the reader) cannot upload to the downloads manager. The OP said that he couldn't anyways. I'm sorry if my point was not made clear.
Marked 197 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 I'm waiting for a newer version of the downloads manager to be released which will be much more stable, especially with uploading. Hopefully then, everyone will use it.
