It seems like most people cant browse around to find the answer to this so im making this very clear and easy for everyone.

 

If your getting the "Failed to obtain a trial serial number from the nTitles server"

Please try the following to fix it.

 

Note: there's a 99.99% chance this will work.

 

Windows XP

Make sure your connected to the internet.

 

Vista/Win7

Make sure your connected to the internet.

Right click on program and click "Run As Administrator"

 

If that dont work go here.

 

Right click and go to properties -> Compatibility tab - > Run this program in Compatibility for: Windows XP service pack 2 or 3. -> Click Ok -> Right click on program and click "Run As Administrator"

Personally my computer is not connected to the Internet, and I can not use similar tactic.

Therefore I chosen other tactic which helped me to get desirable RMXP and RMVX without some victims.

For some reason that is not only the cases. Cause, I experienced failed installation even when my computer well connected to the internet. Some friend of mine mention that the Enterbrain server itself has disconnect any trial mode and online registration as such. I do not know whether it is for real or not.

 

However, when this happen I use some other measures. Oh by the way I am using the 1.02a version.

I just reinstalled Windows 7 and had to reinstall RMXP and had no problems connecting to the server.

Used Version 1.02a from Download.com.

Tried VX also and no problems.

(for windows xp only) im a little suprised no one mentioned this unless i over looked it and its easy to get the error when u hav bought by jus switching cpu`s. a good helper site is pokecommunity although i dont kno the xact link. i used their method to change my cpu registry and automatically expire the trial but take u to the next screen asking if u paid or want to. if u didnt buy the game i suggest u go internet foraging, "u'll get what u need if u look hard."

You have no choice other than to bring your computer to where there is internet to activate RMXP. :<

That only Occurs on some Computers that don't have Internet Connection. If you dont have Internet Connection and That Error Appears. Ues This Registry Key:

Just tested it and that will only work for the older version of rmxp. It dont work for the current.

Will you still have the 30 day trial with this way or does it make the trial end?

The reg key is just for enabling activation while offline, it is not a crack or anything that actually activates it.

Being a pirated copy has nothing to do with the ntitles error, its more or less an oversight by Protexis that causes an error if the game is not registered and not online. It doesn't even let you get to the activation screen before crashing.
