Hughesy 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 Hello everyone, My name is Luke, I'm interested in expanding my knowledge of the RPG Maker XP program, I only just downloaded and purchased the full version, so as you can imagine my current skill level is null. :P I'm only interested in it for fun, make a nice, full length game that I can play through and perhaps send to some pals if it's any good. After about an hour of racking my brain, I decided to google a few tutorials, which were doing fine but I've run into a few snags, so I hope to smooth everything out here. I look forward to getting to know you all, sharing my work, and seeing what you guys come up with! Cheers, Luke.

Hughesy 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 Fantastic, great to hear. Nah, nah, just Luke. :) I feel like a bit of a dunce, but my main problem at the moment is not being able to figure out how to get different Autotiles into my tileset, for example, I'm trying to put a lake into my starting area, but my tileset doesn't have water autotiles, I went to the materials thing and tried importing and exporting the Water I want but to no avail, the little dot turns orange, which I assume means it's there, but I can't seem to find it. Marked 197 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 Hey Luke, welcome to RMXPUnlimited. I'm one of the admins on the forum and I can assist with any forum related stuff as well as RPG Maker XP matters. I would recommend making topics in the RPG Maker Support forum. Although to answer your question, you can change the autotiles in the Tileset tab of the Database in RMXP. The little orange dot does mean it's an imported resource, but make sure you imported the image to the Autotiles directory. Some people forget to do that. Hughesy 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 Yeah I had sent it to the right place, I feel a little silly, the reason it wasn't popping up was because it was already there, I mistook the tile as something different, when it was actually the tile I was looking for. About 2 minutes into the 'Mapping class' thread I realised, sorry about that. Thank you for the welcome by the way. :D
