Someone tell me there is a way..

Question

So.. For the past 10 days I have been working in RPG Maker XP. I downloaded the Trial to see if I would be good enough at it to make a game in this system.

I've gotten pretty far into the game and I've designed quite a bit of it.

But I realized there is RPG maker VX and I am wondering..

Is there a way to transfer my XP game over to VX Editor?

Which one should I use? Do I have to start all over in VX?

Should I finish my game in XP and then redesign it for VX after I know how to use the program fully?

Someone.. please. Advice. Now.

-Cries- I don't want to start all over.. So.. many... levels... designed..

But VX is so much neater and better and cooler!

I'mma cry..

BTW.

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, you cannot convert RMXP projects to work with RMVX. The script coding (RGSS and RGSS2) are completely different, so it is difficult to convert the scripts, and even without converting scripts, there is no way to mix RPG Maker XP maps and such with RMVX maps and such. So, no, there's no way. I recommend, if you don't want to start over, finish it on XP. I wouldn't imagine you can be too far into it if you've only worked for 10 days...Unless it's just a small game.

Actually, RPG Maker VX is not super better than XP. They both have pros and cons. :|

Just stick with RMXP for your project. I actually prefer XP over VX, but that is just my opinion. RMXP is better when it comes to graphics etc. in my book.
