The music...

Recommended Posts

Ok, well seeing how I have sprites and stuff now, figured I'll go and clean stuff out on my RPG. Well I'm using Audacity to create and loop my music since my music is used from other games. I've been told to convert them into MP3 files, but when i do that and test play the song, there's a pause at the end before replaying the file. Is there a way to fix this? I opened the MP3 file with Audacity to figure out the problem but it plays it perfectly without any pause. >_>

Something else, not that important, but...is there a way to loop the music, like, as in playing it from the beginning and it looping it to a certain point in the music? Just thought it would be better than playing it without the beginning.

Thanks guys...oh yeah, and um...I need help with my scripts!!! XD

The slight pause is because of the MP3 files, the way to get it so that it doesn't loop is to save it as .ogg in Audacity. RPG Maker runs .ogg files better then .mp3 and doesn't have a loop at the end.

I want them to loop, but I was wondering if it could play the file from the beginning of the music and at the end it loops and goes back to a certain point in the music instead going back to the beginning again.

If MP3s do that pause thing, I guess I'll just go back to WAV files then huh?

Try mid (midi)s. They seem to loop on their own for me.. It is actually quite helpful! Though they take up more space (I think); midis are good for BGM.

Making your own music wouldn't hurt either.

MIDIs aren't the actual music from the game and don't sound as good as the originals, and I can't make my own music and prefer to use music from other games...>_>
