Marked 197 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Introducing RMXPUnlimited's new tutorial system, courtesy of Hebi Kumo: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/tutorials/ I was waiting until I installed some more modifications, we're still relatively modless, but I have lost interest access of my own computer. I can borrow a laptop or two, but I really need my own computer to work on this place. I have my own methods which are more safe and less likely to screw up the forum. Back to the tutorials section....the tutorials are divided by 4 categories as is the section on the website. However i think these could more diverse, suggestions from tutorial writers would be nice. I want this section to be slightly strict. That is to say, serious and in-depth tutorials are preferred here, as well as no unnecessary duplication. I will advertise this around the website when it becomes more full and hopefully they will get some views. Hope you like it, also dont forget to thank Hebi Kumo. 1 Kiriashi reacted to this

Tomo2000 60 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Thanks Marked and Hebi Kumo. This is kinda confusing, as now the classes might start falling apart. Anyway, I'll probally post in-depth eventing tutorials in the Tutorials Section and in my Eventing Class :D .
Marked 197 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 There has already been a tutorials section from the beginning and the point of the classes are to be classes. They should operate differently. As it is, I let teachers do what they like in their classes, so it is up to them how they use their forums. I agree though that this could affect the classes because this contains tutorials organized in groups and it appears to be a duplication of the website sections and some of the classes. But there will no longer be any tutorials submitted to the website and I hope that all of our tutorials will be submitted to this new section, and that classes run as classes. Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 :o This looks great Marked! :) However, you should get rid of all this stuff:
Marked 197 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 The black and blue? That's not really there is it...
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 No, I'm suggesting that you get rid of the highlighted area, as the comments should be thinner than posts IMO.
formlesstree4 18 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 You mean removing the signatures and the additional information on the side? I can see removing signatures, but the info on the side is more of a placeholder as to not break the theme.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 That big block of white space takes up way to much room! IT'S POINTLESS!
Marked 197 Report post Posted November 26, 2009 Oh ok. You know its because of all your custom fields right? I suppose I could get rid of that, but it's just the same as a post on the forum. So, why do you have a problem with it in the tutorials section?
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 26, 2009 Because I thought it would be nice if it looked simpler in the comments section.
