Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 How easy it to install? Easier then IPB? I've been using IPB for a while, but now I'm thinking about switching. It has all the same features as this. The only problem, I don't got a job, so I can't get the cash for it yet. Next year I should have it, but I don't want to wait...
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 I'm not exactly sure how easy the VB is to install I just know the mods are easier.
Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Well, that's good. I don't like complicated stuff. I will definetly get it if I get my hands on the money. What payment methods do they accept? I don't got a credit card.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 We also accept PayPal, wire transfers and checks/money orders. How quickly you get the license info depends on the payment method you use. The quickest is with PayPal using the funds in your PayPal account. This should take just a few minutes unless the payment was an eCheck payment, in which case it usually takes 3-5 business days to clear. The Metacharge credit card option also just takes a few minutes. The Worldpay credit card option can take up to 24 hours to be verified. Wire Transfers can take up to 4-6 business days. And finally checks can take as long as necessary for the check to reach us, be deposited and clear our bank. License information, regardless of payment method, is not issued until the payment clears our system.
Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Hmm, yeah the money order feature would be good. Now to get 160 dollars...
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Yep and since you already have an IPB from what you said. You can transfer databases but all members will have to reset their passwords.
Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Dude, that's awesome. But that's another 50 bucks to transfer databases.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 I was told it was free I thought. I don't remember I'll look into it because I asked VB about it once.
Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Okay, great. But I read on the Invision Power Services site that was the price so I don't know.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 That's if your going from VB to IPB but your going from IPB to VB so it might be different I'm trying to find out but they are being slow. EDIT: Ok it was jsut confirmed. If you buy a VB and you have a license there is something they have called Impex you have to install. But it is free when your a VB License member so there for you will be able to transfer from IPB to VB free of charge. There is no charge for Impex to licensed customers of vB. Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 I hardly doubt it really. But I'll be doing mines in April as long as I can save enough money for that and to move because I will be moving in April/May. I'll let you know how hard it is.

EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Well...I just tested the admin validation thing on my own forum...let me say this: Holy crap...I just had 5 spam accounts try to sign up in the last several days... they can't post or even see the forum, so...they can't do crap! XD

EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 hehe, I just finished setting it up completely on my forum...before, they could see things, but now they get 1 whole forum that says "Please validate". If you can't validate your e-mail address, you won't be validated by the admin, thus you won't be posting in my forum
Grandor 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Why do you think my Forum is always spam free? (Other then my kick rear mods!)
