If this gets a good turn out, I plan on having many different contests, so easy was the best option for this.

I know what you mean. We had a contest with the swamp tileset, I think most people found it too hard to make submittable maps with it.

Well I better start mapping. :) Goodluck everyone.

Swamp is one of my favorites to map with. musta been when i was taking a leave of absence.

This is gonna be fun, I'll get started...

Good. Procrastination is bad.

As for everyone: Do your best.

Unfortunately, I can not participate in the contest. My fucking old computer broke down again.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oh no, here it will be worse. On my computer again flew OS and BIOS, and this damn thing will not start. And since portable-version of RPG Maker XP does not exist, I could not possibly work.

I'm damn sorry ... I am apart of this competition, has participated in two more.

On the upside, at least you can vote, from the look of it. Because of that, at least you will have a hand in the outcome.

Come on, Gary. At least give it a shot! Quitting half way through will never get you through anything. I know. I haven't finished Twilight Princess, 1/2 my projects, and a number of other things.

I might have to resign. My hard drive was formatted, and I've lost all my data. I might be able to finish a quick map, but the quality will probably go down. Don't remove me yet then, and I'll see what I can do.

I'm not understanding these rules about the tileset. You said that we can make a 100 tilesets if we wanted to, be we have to use "only the tiles from 004".

What's the point of making tilesets you can't use? Furthermore, can I add anything to the tileset? Like a few more flowers?

*has gotten a good start on his map*

TO EVERYONE IN THIS CONTEST:

It doesn't matter what the quality of your map is, post it! We can't have this contest dry out just because some people didn't think their maps were good enough. It's a contest for crying out loud.

If you are really busy, then give it you best half hour and then just work on it from there as much as you can. You have until the 19th to post your maps!

No adding tiles, but Kiri, there are a number of things you can do with 100 tilesets of the same tileset. You'd be amazed...

Mine is done :) . I cannot PM it so I will post it here. It isnt much but I believe it will do. I suck at mapping Mountains, anyway, and to my standard I am actually quite proud of how it came out. Here it is;

Edit: I'm just fixing up the map. Will post it again soon.

We now have 3 maps.

Also, I will submit all maps as Encrypted, for everyone's privacy; as well as anonymous. The only reason i want the unencrypted is to ensure the following of rules. If anyone wants to know if mine follows the rules, I will send it to Tomo for validation.

Sorry I cannot summit anything. I've been too busy with finals and work. I know I'm online all of the time, but I leave my computer on most of the time. I really shouldn't do that.

Reyna's review:

1st Map: Nina's journey clearly has the most elaborate map,but not much else. No monsters?no original sprites? Still, very nicely done map. If this contest is solely about mapping skills, then this one should win, hands down.

2nd map: is an actual game, but not much to the map, although almost everything on the map could be made into a monster, that was really cool. I can see why if he had a map like in Nina's journey to cave, you'd have a hard time fighting and the enemies couldn't chase you very far, unless they all flew which then you couldn't out run them.

3rd map: nice background and map, cute and romantic, but unless you've been dead for 44 years,I don't think you wrote that poem!

Plagurism is bad,it can get you kicked out of college, not to mention an F!

Poor T.S. Eliot,victimized again...(It's a screen shot...no game...!?)

Other notes: Some how you all picked that same hunter sprite in all three of your games. That's...just creepy.
