Polraudio 122 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Ok this is a simple question. Do you like or hate cell phones? --- Me, i personally hate them. One reason i hate them is because they are annoying. Talking to someone and their phone goes off and then you just say fuck it and leave them because they just spent 30min talking to someone else when they were talking to you. And dont get me started on this texting that i hate so much. lol brb gtg stuff cya ttl. seriously use ENGLISH!!! i hate it when people are so use to texting they use it on forums and it leaves me like what the F*** did you just say? Last why i made this topic. I just bought a cell phone so i can call my family once in a while. The thing that ticks me off is. You need to use a land line to activate your phone. well the reason i bought a cell phone is because i don't have access to a phone. So why do you need to have a phone to activate a phone when you bought a phone because you don't have a phone!!!! GAAAA!!! so i just bought a $30 phone and a $10 card for minutes that's useless now because i don't have a PHONE TO ACTIVATE MY PHONE!! also if theres a way i can activate my Verizon wireless samsung phone online it will be very helpful because i cant find anything. RANT FINISHED!
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 I was given a phone because I started driving. Then texting was enabled. I still type pretty proper via text, you can ask Wyz. I enjoy my phone. Especially texting, it's a good and efficient way to keep good ties with your friends and family.
Marked 197 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Haha, fair enough. I voted for like because its useful to catch up with old friends and contact people when im out. My uni is far away from where i live so during the semesters im out of the house most of the day. What i don't like is acronymising EVERY word. ttyl, fb, and some people pov(point of view) b(back) bb(byeybye i think). When they start shortning the word back, and bye, there is a problem. Oh, and cellphones make it way easier to cheat.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Oh, and cellphones make it way easier to cheat. So is that how you've been getting through school quickly? Or Is that why you come home smelling like different guys?
Marked 197 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Hahaha it's not gay if there's a girl involved. But no I mean cheating as in on someone.(makes sense right?)

Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 I love my cellphone, I can chat with people and keep in touch with friends I have all over the country. Me I abbreviate words sometimes. But I don't think I'm too bad on it, (ask Ark.) Plus I have internet on my phone so I can pull up some things I might want to know right then and there on the spot. I think there is a lot of pluses to a cellphone. Though there are some negative sides sometimes.
Kaylen 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Cellphones freak me out. I still dislike landlines, but they're a lot better than cellphones.
Marked 197 Report post Posted December 5, 2009 Why do they freak you out? I think most people, especially teenagers have cellphones. Even children have them, which is sick in some ways. I'm talking under 10yrs old. Does anyone think that cellphones are a health risk? Perhaps they are like smoking which everyone used to think was good and healthy until it took its toll on people for the first time(because it takes a long time for negative effects to occur) and then people suddenly realized it was bad. Although its not proven smoking does kill people. But since cellphones are relatively new and its impossible to see the long term effects at this stage, could they potentially cause health risks from long-term usage? Kaylen 1 Report post Posted December 5, 2009 I'm not sure why they freak me out... Maybe It's something to do with talking to people over a distance. I think it might be telephonophobia.
Leon 55 Report post Posted December 5, 2009 I don't hate the cell phone. I mean yes, they are becoming a greater distraction on the road, like the time Arkbennett hit that group of ducks that was trying to cross the road... but that is beside the point. They are great for emergencies (like last night, when I almost got hit by a 5x5x5 doghouse on the interstate. no shit). But the fact is I hate talking on phones altogether. Anybody here ever see Scream? >.> Saw it when I was like... 10. Traumatized me.... Of course, that really could happen, too.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted December 5, 2009 Oh silly Leon.. Ha ha ha. That poor family of ducks- was no mere accident. Mwhahaha, in fact, I did it on purpose! AH HA HA HA! MWAHAHAHA! ...But that poor family of chickens was. The images of that accident still make me lose sleep.
zane203 8 Report post Posted December 6, 2009 its just a personal opinion man. -if someone takes out the phone while you guys were talking, then thats just rude... blame the person not the phone lol... and call that person a jack ass. (excuse the language please) -i can understand you hate netspeak, but you gotta deal with it... seriously thats like telling someone who speaks spanish "SPEAK ENGLISH!!!"... granted they may be in your native country, but on the NETspeak is basically like the native language of the NET lol... (sorry if the lol annoys you - but im not against NS) -as for the activating your phone... how else are you gonna activate your phone... on the phone thats not working? I'm just saying, its a bit much to complain. and texting on the phone... you see how fast you type a full typed out word conversation on a non qwerty keyboarded phone, compared to Netspeak/txt and see how you feel lol. im all 4 cell phones, they make my day easier... but i respect you views -ZenOokami-

Joey 9 Report post Posted December 6, 2009 I don't care for texting, but I prefer to use cellphones instead of regular phones. Although, thanks to that one part in Jurassic Park III, that one ring tone will always creep me out, lol.
