What's up, guys. I'm Midnight Assassin, a long-time RMer and avid forumer. My previously attended communities have been RPG Crisis, RPG RPG Revolution, RPG Maker VX.net, and Prodigy. I'm 14 years old, and work on web development in my free time with Clone1018, of who I also believe is here. I know HTML and a fair bit of Javascript. I'm learning PHP and a bit of C Family. I may get to learning Ruby in a while, though.

 

I came here after my friend RKO directed me here. I actually visited here a few weeks ago and meant to join, but forgot to bookmark the site before my last reformatting.

 

Although I've been RMing since I was 9 years of age, I prefer open-source engines such as the Cube FPS engine and the Torque 3D RPG engine. I still do RM, but my more serious games are built off the more serious engines. My only current "serious" game on RM would have to be 'Full Moon'.

 

I haven't taken a thorough look through the member body, but after a flick thorugh page 1 of the intro forum, I see that my friends Clone1018, RKO and ZephyrX are here. *waves*

 

So yeah, I hope we can get off to a good start unlike my last two forums.

By the way, I love that Ubuntu userbar. It's good to see other Linux users here besides Clone (I think he switched back over to Win7, though).

I completely oppose commercial RM games. Besides, some reverse engineering can completely crack the game open.

And a serious game, as in one that utilises unique features and doesn't use a freeware engine, is my definition.

I do agree that $1000 is too much for an FPS engine think $1000 is just a tad over the top for such a high-caliber engine as Torque3D, especially one that can port over to the XBOX 360, iPhonee and the iPod Touch platforms.
