Marked 197 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 What do you think of Google Chrome? Have you tried it? What do/don't you like about it? More information about Google Chrome Get Google Chrome Personally I think google chrome looks ok, but I havn't used it a whole lot to give a proper opinion on it. I heard that it gathers a lot of your information and sends it away to google. That does make sense though being one of the largest ad providers, they can direct more appropriate ads at you and therefore increase their revenue. I accidentally installed it last night when trying to install something else.
zane203 8 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 yea its alright, i still prefer firefox, but GC starts up a lot faster. the only problem i had with GC is that after about 10 tabs, each tabs start effecting the load time of the older tabs... but my computer really isnt that good. Polraudio 122 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 I personally think its crap. Its nothing more than a web browser with tabs and a start page like Opera. The only good use i think it would be good for is people who dont know much about computers and like it so simple and dont need to do anything to it.
formlesstree4 18 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 I use it a lot, as it is my main browser since it loads extremely fast, renders pretty nicely, and flash video works great with it. I actually use the SRWare Iron variant, which removes all those callback features to Google (which can be used to track you, given enough information is sent.) Enigma 10 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 (edited) Compared to Firefox its pretty even I use both Chrome is definitely faster but Firefox is more stable, even with add-ons plus Im a minimalist so I love its UI Honestly, Opera is third b/c its similar to firefox and chrome but its addons arent really that great and its slower than chrome SAFARI IS THE WORST BROWSER IN EXISTENCE right under INTERNET EXPLORER the only time i use safari is when firefox is trippin and chrome is as well The only time i use IE is when im on someone elses "noob" computer or when i need to download firefox after a clean reinstall In conclusion Firefox is more stable: But heavier on resource use so its best to use when focused on browsing or having a lot of tabs Chrome is best for quick browsing or if browsing is secondary, Like if your playing a game and you want to look up something real quick also Chrome handles Youtube better than firefox right now im using Chrome and firefox Edited December 31, 2010 by Enigma

nanou-gr 5 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 well, i've been using google chrome and opera, and iexplorer and mozila in my dad's old computer to see what would lag less. i deffinitely vote for opera, since it;s the simplest and lightest and have enver caused me real trouble. plus it keep all my tabs saved so i can turn on and of my pc whenever i like. i believe chrome tries to copy a bit of all the browsers at once, but it quite fails. it's easy to use, ok, but it lags and can't handle amny tabs at once and it's got all those anoying adds. and i do agree that google is using our data.
