I have a map that uses the wall above (to separate rooms), but the character can walk under the wall. Now all my items on the set are set to No pass and still he does it.

Found your problem. You might have went over the 2nd layer with the wrong white space. You might want to go over your walls on the 2nd layer with the upper left square.

Alright than why is one of my wall not working? The character can walk on it even though in the Tileset it is set to disallow walking on it (watch video to see).

Watched video.

Because you need to go over the wall in layer 2 with the upper left tile even knowing it seems nothing is there(My Video). Just tested it and it works 100%.

The reason its happening is because you must have used a different blank tile instead of the upper left.

Any other blank tile than the upper left is set so you can pass through it. Since a blank tile other than the upper left is set so things can pass through it when its set to a layer higher than the wall it overwrites the other tiles below.

You need to go over the walls with the upper left tile in layer 2 like this.

Steps:

1. Use upper left tile.

2. Go to layer 2.

3. Put mouse over wall.

4. Click

5. Test play and it will be fixed.

6. if not fixed do the same thing but to layer 3.

Video that shows you exactly what you need to do

Youtube Video ->
">
" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

If video don't work it means its still processing and check back later.

ok i can explain that hopefully.

If a tile that allows you to pass over is placed on a layer above a tile that dont allow movement it overwrites it.

Think of files. if you try to put a file(Tile) with the same name(Layer) in a folder it will overwrite it.

That makes no sense as the WALL is on LAYER 1. And nothing is above it; sounds like Enterbrain just got lazy.

There is something above it on layer 2. A blank tile that allows movement. Just because its a blank tile doesnt mean it dont do anything. The upper left deleted tiles while other blank tiles act like a real tile.

Here is an example.

Normal Set on layer 2

Different tileset same map.

As you can see there are lots of stair pieces. Everywhere you see a peice of stairs is the place you used a different blank tile instead of the upper left tile to erase something.

Set your tileset to Cave of Earth and you will see what i mean.
