The friendly url settings have been reworked, and therefor the URLs of all the topics, forums and user profiles are now different.

 

The purpose of this topic is to make me aware of any broken links, which aren't rare when this happens, so I can fix them all up.

 

So if you find any broken links around the forum, it would help me greatly if you could post them here. If there are within topics though, you can either report the post with the broken link, or post the link to the topic/post here.

Well, I have found that my 2 latest projects, Alone and Best Friends Forever Remake, have broken links. It seems that my older ones, however, are fine. Perhaps it is just the newer topics?

Yep, any links to topics, forums and profiles (since friendly urls were first enabled, around november 10th 09)will be broken.

 

I will fix the links in your topics. I would urge others to do so, but I'm not sure if everyone knows how to recreate the urls. I will change the urls in your topics to the default urls, which will work no matter what the friendly url settings(in case we ever change again).

 

If you find anymore, please link them in this topic. Thanks Tomo.

Since where on the subject of links Marked when are you going to fix it so links posted by members (topics and signature) open in a new window? I hate having to use the back button to get to RMXPU.

Hebi I think that's universal with forums. You could just right-click and open in a new tab.

 

By the way Tomo, I misread your post before. I fixed the links in your signature like you originally wanted.

No it is not. I have IPB 3.0 and they always pop up in a new window.

Thanks to everyone who helped finding the links.

 

In the end I queried the database for keywords of the broken links, and manually changed each one. I'm confident I found the majority of them. Your signatures will still contain broken links though, you may want to check.
