New to PMXP Unlimited

Recommended Posts

I just started in the last week or so to run tests and learn the program. Currently I am finishing a short game I made for my daughter. I know nothing of how to make a script but I have used a few provided on different sites. I would like to learn more about this. What I hope to do as an end result is have a highly functional game with my own music and art included. Here is one of my first attempts at creating a character sprite.

Welcome to RMXP Unlimited, Vortican. I can't see the attempted sprite, however. You might wanna upload it on a site like Imageshack; just remember to save the picture as a .PNG before uploading it. If you need help with anything just post in the provided areas and I'm sure some of our helpful members will be able to help. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hello and welcome to RMXP Unlimited! You've got a cool username.

One of the best ways to learn is to practice, so keep it up and you'll be a pro in no time! You should also play other games made by RPG Maker XP so you can understand what it's capable of. I recommend Quintessence: The Blighted Venom. (Click the middle download button to play)

If you need any help with eventing/mapping/using any of the features of RMXP, just ask. I'm sure anyone here including myself would be more than happy to help!

Your "spriting attempt" did not show up. What method of uploading did you use? I recommend using image shack to upload the sprite.

Just click the browse button, select your image and press OK, press "upload now", and then copy and paste the direct link here. You can put the picture in img tags like the ones in the code box below if you want the picture to be seen without having to click the link.
