Hey guys!

Recently a friend of mine came over to my house, and showed me his new DSi. Well it was neat, but I already had a DS so I wasn't really interested. However, he told me that he got it free. My first guess was that someone gave it to him for some odd reason. Nope, turns out he actually got it from one of those online survey type thingies with the points and what not. The site is called SwagBucks, and I told him that I didn't really have the attention span to fill out surveys and sign up for sh** I didn't want. Well it turns out you don't even need to fill out surveys.

On SwagBucks, all you have to do is search the web, and you make points. It's kinda' like a treasure hunt. When you type something in their searchbar that yields points, there will be a picture of a dollar bill looking thing with a certain number on it. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is search for things, you don't have to click any links. In fact that won't increase your chance of winning points. I signed up about three hours ago, and have been searching every once in a while to try and get some points. I've made about ten points just from searching!

So how much are points really worth? Well you can get an iPod Touch 8GB for 3000 of these points (called swagbucks). There is more than one way to get these points too, you can complete surveys for them, but I haven't tried that because I don't like the hassle. You can also search the web for real and try and find "SwagCodes", which you can redeem for more points. This is different from the main searching, as that's random searching. You can also shop for stuff online, and earn points. So next time you are going to buy something online, check SwagBucks.com to see if it is one of their affiliates!

So I'm going to start doing this, and I'll inform you if I get something from it. If I do, we should all start doing this!

Want to sign up? You don't have to if you don't want to, but it could help you get some cool swag for free! (Ya' c wut i did thar?) Click me! This is my referral link, so if you sign up from this link, we both get more points from searching and doing surveys!

Happy swagging!

They get money from the folks over at places like Netflix and eHarmony. I guess they've made enough money to put up the Search-for-points feature as well as the surveys!

Ultyma, just do a few searches a day if you want; you could make enough for an iPod in a few months!

If anyone has any questions, just ask! :bye:

EDIT: Make sure when doing surveys (if you do them) you don't use your information, but valid information. Find a real phone area code, and zip code and city etc. And make an email address JUST for the surveys.

Use your real street address when redeeming prizes.

SwagBucks isn't a scam (member) but I spent all my points in a contest...and lost. I was there when it was a baby, great place ;)

I didn't know they have surveys, that is odd. I guess I haven't been there in a few months. >.>

It's not a scam. It says it can tell when you just loom and search over and over again. It's meant to be there when you do want to search. Although, if you do a search and wait an hour, it refreshes and allows you collect more points.

I just earn 9 points today. ;)

Hint:

Don't search the same thing every second. Over the course of one week, stick to six different things to search up. I used Dissidia, Cats, Digimon, Final Fantasy and Terra Branford. It remembers a search pattern and rewards you in such a way ;)

Hm, then all I can say is...patience? It takes a long time to build up points. After all, all these things are free by just searching ^.^

They increased the amount of how much the points are worth, but also increase the amount of points you need to get things. :nono4:

Well, I was just looking at the PSPs (is what I want unless FFVI Snes comes up) and it didn't go up that much from before the change.

I just won 43 swagbucks -- awesome! :P

Man, I just checked the items to win...14,000 is a lot >.<

It use to be 2/3,000.

I win swagbucks a little less, but I earn lots of it. I guess that's pretty cool, plus the surveys, when they work...

this is similar to listia but easier lol

Listia is a lot better. I've won a lot of things there, plus earning credits is easy :)

Swagbucks works, you just have to be patient. :D

I have 576 right now, but I haven't used it in a while.

If you are having trouble finding bucks, set it up as your main search engine.
