XP Resolution

Question

I use RMXP for the most part, I'm in the hospital at the moment so i don't have my main puter, I'm using a netbook and it only has a 1024x600 res and i cant run RM in it, If i switch to the 768 res i have to scroll the screen and that makes it hard to do any work, Is there any way to run it in another res than the 768, Any help would be appreciated,

Thank You,

Welcome Arkaua, hope you get out of the hospital soon.

I assume you are talking about the actual editor? The resolution when testing the game is 640x480, so that should fit in your screen.

On the offical RPG Maker XP website it says this for screen res(minimum requirement): 1024x768 or better video resolution in High Color mode.

So I'm not too sure what you can do. Mapping should be fine, but opening the database and script editor are going to be a pain..

Thank you for the welcome and the well wishes. You were right they were a pain, but i figured something out that works wonders.

You just have to start the program in 1024x768. After its running you can switch it back to the native res. So you guys can close this topic now if you want.

Thank You.

Yeah, I use RMXP on my netbook, and I'm not all that bothered by the screen scrolling. The thing about changing it back after opening it is that when you make an event or open up the database, the bottom is cut off so you can't click 'Ok' or the other buttons next to it. Moving the box won't help either.

Hmm, I guess it depends on how big your windows are. Good to know I'm not the only nut who would do 'things' to make RMXP run on a netbook, even if it is just changing the resolution above its standards.

Not really an EDIT but re-read the previous posts before posting EDIT: Oh, I guess the window thing is already mentioned. Nevermind!
