Colored Font in Choice Menu

Question

Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of creating a Mass Effect Fangame using RMXP (yes, I even have permission from Bioware/EA)... and I was wondering if there's anything I can do to make the top choice blue (paragon) the middle choices white (info) and the bottom choice red (renegade). If this is possible, I'd love to know how.

Thank you,

~Norton

It's easily possible. When making your choices, for the blue one, type this "\c[1]Paragon\c[0]" because \c[?] lets it know the text past it will be a certain color, and the number tells it what color it will be. Always have \c[0] at the end so it will return to White, the default color. These are what all the numbers and colors are:

--\C[0] = White

--\C[1] = Blue

--\C[2] = Red

--\C[3] = Green

--\C[4] = Cyan

--\C[5] = Purple

--\C[6] = Yellow

--\C[7] = Grey

Yeah, Highly doubtful, but in all truth, it wont matter, as long as you don't receive funding/profit for this game.

Also, if you own photoshop, not elements, than I can write you up a tutorial on how to reproduce the Mass Effect Logo. Ive done it a few times now with near-perfect conclusions.

Should have mentioned I'm using Ccoas UMS. The \C[1] etc... still doesn't work.

As for the permission from Bioware... It's your place to decide whether or not you believe me, but if you want to check the project out for yourself go to www.turianproject.com for more details.

No really, They wouldnt give "permission" to do so, and you dont need their permission. what they would say is that as long is it doesnt infringe on their rights and materials, that you wont be under any legal stress, and as its a 2D fan game, you should be fine as long as you dont gain any, and I mean any at all, money from this.

You're making a fan game? And you don't know color commands? I think you might wanna practice a little more before attempting a fan game.

Seriously... as I said before... I forgot to mention I was using Ccoas UMS script for my messages. It's not the base script. And the color commands aren't working... hence my asking.

*Edit*

Tomo2000, thank you for giving me a real reply, I appreciate it... it's a shame it didn't work.

I'm sorry, my point wasn't that you are inexperience, it's that making a fan game is really hard to do and rarely ever turn out finished.

Well, I've been working with Rpg Maker since '95, so I do have a good background in it, but in no way am I skilled at scripting... which is where my current problem lies. In order to add color to the choices (rather than the messages themselves) I would need to alter Ccoa's UMS script... however, I have no idea where to begin with something like that. Which is why I'm here...

Fan-games are incredibly difficult to finish, especially if you don't have a good team to work with (or if you're doing it alone). I'm currently working with a team of 10 (feel free to visit the website if you'd like to meet them all).

And just for the heck of it, here's some of the stuff we've been working on in the past week. (This is a very new project, only 2 weeks old).

One example of our battlers. (Yes, he's a very fit Turian :P )

Our concept/cutscene artist came up with this for one of the main Turian characters.
