Lato 1 Report post Posted February 20, 2010 Ok I am looking for a character artist, that can do B&W character sketches for my graphic novel, they need to be able to do edits/redos of my work and send them back to me, those interested need to be able to show me there work. I only pay through paypal, I pay 6 dollars a sheet, if work is done in a timely manner then I will pay $8 a sheet, any question or interests plz reply. Hmm my friend oceans dream is a masterful pixel artist, and he charges $8 per sprite, I think thats a pretty good price considering how good he is and how fast he works. Oh and I could pay someone $40-100 easy for this work but There is quite a bit of it as it is still in progress, to pay by sheet would actually be alot more money for the person, and gives them a reason to keep working, seeing as how most ppl that work on projects on these sites lose interest fast and stop working. Not in a bad way, but It gives me confidence because his skill isnt too much better than my own, so if you think hes awesome, than Im not too terrible myself, lol. Chief is correct I myself charge $100 for an original Character; which would come with 1 stance images, 5 face sets (different face expressions), and a character set. This topic HAS NOT gone off topic as pricing is a big thing here and that is what you need to get through your head before you start running at the mouth. A person is going to be worried about pricing first before saying yes I agree, this is the reality of life. Plus you are on a site where most if not any artists deal with pixel art. And for the record character artist and pixel artists are the same thing when you get down to it, and artist. You best bet i to try Deviart where you are bound to find more who deal in drawing. That seems more like the acts of a 9 year old. I was merely upset at how easly there was distraction from what I was looking for, however I am still learning the overall skill sets your members have, and see that there are not alot of artists, I will keep this in mind in the future, And I have tried DA for ppl, I prefer to look among those that have a love of gaming first. Well im looking for a Character artist that can edit my own style with theres, I need someone that has a manga style or a Amano(Final Fantasy style)A manga graphic novel of sorts, so if you know about blood the last vampire is a good example.
