I'm done with RMXP, I honestly doubt I'll be getting anywhere with it anytime soon. So I gave up on it, but yeah I'm still staying since this is one of the few forums I enjoy being at. I do still have RMXP (just no RPGs anymore) on my computer, so if I somehow do get everything I need and crap, I'll give it another shot. Since The Shadow Realm is gonna haunt my mind forever if I don't make it. XD (I keep visualizing it as an anime, lol)

 

If that happens I'll also remake (again) Joey's Worst Nightmare since its supposed to be epicly funny and crap. ANYways, to answer formless..I'M NOT LEAVING!!! XD

Sorry to hear your giving up.

Maybe you should start off small like a little game with using RTP.

Then after you show people a good game they will be more willing to help find resources because they will like your games.

 

Ever heard of the saying "Do what you can with you got."?

 

I found it easier to do things without help from others.

Waiting for others most of the time can be depressing and could take forever.

I know...but most of the games I'm wanting to make does require other resources and/or scripts...otherwise I would think it wouldn't turn out as well as it could be. Like with Nightmare...in 2K the sprites/faces look nothing like the actual characters. (compare my friends in 2K to their real selves, lol) RMXP's...erm, importing thing, stuff seems a lot better and I'm able to use battlers that look more like the characters or whatever. (tried putting my own battlers in 2K for example and they come out weird looking, lol)

 

Just don't worry about it, I'm not going to right now...I won't forget about the program though.

Sometimes you may have to change your plans. I very first idea was MegaMan Chaos. My goals were way too high thus forcing me to cancel the project in early 2009.

 

Also sometimes you have to work with what you got. You can still make an awesome game with just the RTPs.

I know, but changing it completely would kinda ruin the series...like changing all the characters and battle system and whatnot...

I know starting over can suck. I had to start Dark Chaos all over because of the original had corrupted data. However sometimes starting over is the best thing. You could just start a new project and wait for help with your other projects.

........I MIGHT try and give Nightmare one last shot, not bothering with any other of my game ideas right now though. Would some of you guys be able to help me if I do, and not vanish on me like the other people I met did? lol...If not, then oh well. But yeah, Nightmare and the Shadow Realm is bothering me and haunting my mind and driving me crazy. XD
