I just got into RMXP again and found this forum while i was looking at tutorials. I'm trying to make a dramatic RPG that really captures some emotion.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. In response to the first reply, I mostly like RPG type games with a strategy element. My favorite game of all time is Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. I also enjoy some FPS games.

Mainly what I'm trying to create is a very intense psychological RPG with a strong plot. I want to maximize shock factor wherever possible and make extensive use of dark themes. I also plan to compose all the music myself. I use Finale Allegro, and I'm willing to try and compose for people here if I can. I don't promise anything amazing though.

Here is an example of my composing work

About two years. I mostly just use Finale Allegro and Audacity. I don't play any instruments very well, but I like computer composing.

Audacity is such an awesome name for a program.

I listened to the Derseren song on Youtube; pretty cool!

The mood of the song kinda' goes up and down though.

I've never been completely satisfied with it. The stuff on the purevolume I linked to is more monomood. Rusted Ring is probably my best so far.
