I want to create a movie intro for my game and I would like some advice on how to make one?

In order to make an intro you have to make a blank map, set the player's starting position to that map and then make an autorun event with no graphic or movement. In that event use event commands to make pictures apear or disappear and when that is finished make an event command to transfer the player to an other map.

If you'd like to learn how to make cutscenes and movies of the sort, I'd suggest using VX School, it might be for VX, but it helped me loads with XP and VX and I can now make movies. If you don't really understand tutorial reads, then one play through of the School will seriously help you.

Yeah but since guests can read these topics they get can get picked up by search engines and if this topic happens to come up in a google search, it would have been useless without her post. That's just to say there is a point, it still should be avoided.

 

Also, I'm not sure if the setting is on, but you can make it so original posters get emailed when someone replies to their topics. Necro posts are bad unless they contain useful information. So it can get the user back to the site, and help them too. But I'm not sure if that happens on this forum, I should enable it.
